To be pissed off with seatbelts?

I'm clearly doing something wrong as in every car I've had I'm strangled by my seatbelt. It always seems to ride up and find its way around my neck.

What am I doing wrong?

omg yes - i don't have a car anymore but was staying with my mum for a week and was in a car a lot in back seat and the belt cuts into my next too - im obviously too short (5ft)

fyn · 01/08/2023 13:13

I get this, I assume because I am short with very large boobs. Absolutely hate it!

TheLeadbetterLife · 01/08/2023 13:09

I'm tall and the same thing happens to me, because the belt slides up over my breasts and digs into my neck. They're designed for a flat chest.

You're just short. I am just over 5' and have the same problem.

Your seat is too low

This is me too. It rubs on my neck. Cars are designed by men for me - not for women. We are far more likely to die in one than a man as it isn’t built for us.

Totalwasteofpaper · 01/08/2023 12:54

This is still a mans world.

they are designed for men.
Like bricks which fit in a mans hand easily not a woman, architects folios which fot under a mans arm but not a womans, room temperature in offices which is set lower to mens comfort ...

TimeForTeaAndG · 01/08/2023 12:53

Around your neck? Do you mean it sits too high and cuts across your neck?

Most cars have adjustable height where the belt goes into the door frame if it's the front seats.
Are you relatively short?

Alargeoneplease89 · 01/08/2023 12:53

Don't you adjust the bit attached to the car?

Barrell · 01/08/2023 12:53

Never had this issue.
