Please tell me some joys of living alone

My marriage has come to an end after my husband has been having an affair and I’ve finally plucked up the courage to leave and get my own place.
please try and cheer me up by telling me some things you love about living alone 😞

I'm a widow and live alone. Some days I don't get dressed, I eat cereal for dinner and wash up the next day. I've been on my own for over four years and although I get lonely sometimes I could never live with anyone again.

In my case all those hours of sport on tv will be a thing of the past.
There will be no Victor Meldrew to complain about the neighbours or rehash the news to you. Moaning will end.
The atmosphere will be calm and peaceful.

No beard hairs.
No discussion about dinner, what to have, and being able to eat it when you want.
No man smells.
Your tongue no longer hurts from all the biting it when choosing your battles and pretending things don't annoy you.

When you clean the bathroom and come back to use the shower it's still clean.
Very little cleaning required generally.
Peace.
No compromise on food. If you want to eat salad every day then you can.

You never have to compromise.

Cooking a lovely tea and chilling with a film. No arguments/tension/compromise
Cleaning the house and it staying clean
Choosing decor
Going out when I want with friends
Only answering to myself
No guilt trips

No man smells… Sweaty sheets, dirty towels, smelly toilet, piles of laundry, crusty dishes, grimy bin, crumbs on kitchen counter.

You set your own schedule entirely, you can eat and sleep and do whatever you want whenever you want. You can have people round, you can go out, you can decorate the place with all the things you love. You can get 10 dogs, or a tortoise, or a herd of cats. You can play your favourite songs through a big speaker in every room. You can potter around in your underwear, or your joggers, or a fancy frock. You only ever have to clean up after YOURSELF! Good luck in the exciting new chapter of your life, I hope you enjoy your new found freedom.

Can do exactly what you want.
There’s no one suggesting you get up or go to bed.
No one to see you’re eating the same dinner as yesterday.
Can watch tv/read/surf the net without interruptions.

You don’t have to share a bed! I sleep in the middle of the bed, no one snoring, it’s bliss 🥰
