Fish and chips too heavy. Pizza so expensive compared to £6 fancy supermarket pizza. Indian I’d rather have in a restaurant. DH prefers Chinese but he is wrong.

Who’s with me?

Cheap ‘elephant leg’ doner meat is disgusting.

A chicken shish with red cabbage, red onion, humous, fluffy flat breads, pickles and good garlic and chilli sauces is a thing of wonder.

Yes that is probably true but I can make my own version of this too easily at home to bother - Chinese is a bit harder to master!

I think kebabs have gone so expensive! For the past 6 months I've been doing my own just marinate chicken thighs in yoghurt and Alice's over night, stick them in skewers and put them in the air fryer. Get flatbreads from Tesco and the McCain skin on fries. It's our fave tea and less than £10 as the chips will last til the next time and there will be 2 left over flatbreads.

Chinese is the best.

YABVVVU everyone knows the best takeaway is Chinese!

newnamenewmane · 09/06/2023 21:25

I love a kebab!

Titsywoo · 09/06/2023 21:25

I can't eat kebabs without my gallbladder reacting very badly so YABU from me Grin

I'm not a fan of takeaways really but if I have to choose it is Chinese - everything else makes me feel rubbish

BCBird · 09/06/2023 21:23

Not a big fan of takeaways. Had a kebab once- omg. Wat crap. Had not been.drinking-perhaps that is where I went wrong🙄

HollyBookBlue · 09/06/2023 21:21

If you're talking about a proper Turkish kebab, you are right. If you're talking about a cheap donner, then no 🤣

CuteCillian · 09/06/2023 21:19

I had a kebab in Krakow last month. It was sublime and my mouth waters with the memory.

ItsCalledAConversation · 09/06/2023 21:16

Depends on the kebab. Proper Turkish/Lebanese is good but I’d still smash a proper Chinese over that any day.

IAmAnIdiot123 · 09/06/2023 21:10

Actually, thinking about it, you are right!

I love the salad with donner meat and garlic mayo / chilli sauce combo. Its blooming lovely! Might have to get one next week!

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 09/06/2023 21:10

Only if you've had a barrel full of beer first

NeverThatSerious · 09/06/2023 21:09

You are absolutely and completely wrong, your husband has this one, it’s Chinese and I’ll hear no different.
