To wonder how many Mumsnetters Mark Morriss has hit on?

Strength in numbers. Well to Anna Wharton and the other 2 brave mums that have exposed him. There must be more ..

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I just saw that Mark Morriss has been back touring with his band. A friend of mine got involved with him not that long ago and he was back to his old tricks. He has no shame and will keep using women whenever he can.

His career is obviously scraping along on the floor. After all, who would give their money to a proven liar with a police caution for physical and emotional abuse? I know I wouldn’t.

I’d never go near him or The Bluetones based on what I’ve been told and I hope those that do understand his history and they tell their friends. Check out the most recent article in The Telegraph by Anna Wharton and you’ll get a very clear picture of who he really is.

I know so many that were in the 90’s. It was surprisingly easy in the 90’s to get close to a band. And yes, they do seem to think they are the girl friends when they literally have one waiting in every town, even the quiet ones.

they werent my cup of tea. I would never have said no to Damon though.

Really @ChocolateRaisin09? I’m a nineties kid with a huge love of indie music too but I never fancied being a groupie. Always felt a bit grim.

He is clearly vile and abusive. How awful.
But while he is fully responsible for his behaviour, I do wish people (and new girlfriends in particular) would run a mile when they hear the "my Psycho ex" line. It's a huge red flag.

My abusive ex told everyone I was schizophrenic when I finally found the strength to leave 🤷‍♀️

I realise this is a zombie thread, but I used to know one of his side pieces. She called him her boyfriend, although she was well aware of his partner. She wasted her entire 20s on him. Possibly a good chunk of her 30s too.

Don't sleep with the musicians straight after a gig. Same goes for footballers and any other fame-riders. They are not looking for anything resembling a relationship and probably have one or two already.

Wow.

I was a huge Bluetones fan in the 90s, saw them numerous times and met Mark quite a few times too. I could easily have been one of those girls, I was starry-eyed, but thankfully probably a bit young (although who knows).

I still play their albums a lot now on streaming sites, but no more - I'm not sending another penny his way.

So sorry for all the women who went through hell because of this absolute arsehole.

What a vile lowlife. Feel sorry for his daughter. The throttling and his gaslighting to his wife were particularly grim.

I guess he thought he was very clever until he was rumbled.

Hope all the women and children involved can move on and continue to support each other.

What an atrocious man.

He is indeed abusive, those defending him, did you miss the bit where he physically attacked her and she reported him to the police several times? Specifically the time he tried to throttle her, but she had the presence of mind to take photos of his finger marks around her neck so she had evidence for the police?

Let's hope your kids and grandkids are never victims of either assault at the hands of a partner or emotional abuse / cheating / gaslighting etc. Or if they are, hopefully they'll have someone else they can talk to about it rather than you.
