To be ashamed of our Sleazebag PM?

If it wasn't bad enough, Johnson presiding over the Paterson vote last week ...

He's now refusing to attend the debate today on sleaze/corruption

He also will not allow the sleaze watchdog to look into his flat refurbishment.

Does Johnson actually think this kind of behaviour is impressive?

I find it deeply embarrassing.

They don’t even try to hide the corruption anymore.

Blame the idiots who keep voting for them

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 08/11/2021 19:20

@VickyEadieofThigh

I've been on a campaign for some years to stop people referring to him in matey fashion as "Boris" - it gives me the rage when newspapers do it, even in the same article referring to "Boris" and then "Starmer".

He's not anybody's mate and nobody should do it unless they're a personal friend. It's encouraged a benign "Aww, good old Boris - he's a laugh, innee?" mentality.

Same here. I make an effort to call him Johnson. And yes, he is a complete embarrassment of a PM.
TeamRick · 08/11/2021 19:17

And what was he doing instead of attending the Questions - visiting a hospital - without a mask!

The only person in the place without a mask on! The bloody arrogance of him is absolutely astounding!
I think I actually hate him!

To be ashamed of our Sleazebag PM?

@Pineapplequeen

So "they are all as bad" is just your weird way of saying "Labour are worse"

By the way, in the unlikely event you're interested in the truth about Corbyn and the wreath, the BBC has a good summary and it's a better version that the Daily Mail one you are parroting -

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-45196409

I notice you didn't answer my question - if they are really "all as bad" can we have a "bad" Labour government for a while instead of these filthy corrupt liars?

saoirse31 · 08/11/2021 17:51

He's a total disaster as PM, I don't think his political views r opinions go any further than 'what suits me , right now?' More than likely that's why he's threatening to risk peace in the Six Counties, because blaming EU will distract from the current sleaze in London

DuncinToffee · 08/11/2021 17:26

Only 46 out of 365 Conservative MPs have turned up for this debate

Pineapplequeen · 08/11/2021 17:20

@daimbarsatemydogsbone

They are ALL as bad as each other

This is obviously a lie but imagining it wasn't - in that case can we all vote Labour next time and see? Or does "they are all as bad" only get said by Tory voters?

Lying to start a war in which thousands of U.K army personnel were killed or maimed is much worse @daimbarsatemydogsbone.Not sure why you missed the last bit of my post out...

Just puts it in a bit of perspective.

But just for context of 'they are all as bad as each other -

Labour cash for fags scandal

Ecclestone promoting Hitler - ( and to be fair that's still hasn't gone away has it with the bias against Jewish people) Ecclestone was also tried for bribery in Germany.

Cash for honours - Tony Blair again. Maybe Labour being ordered to pay back ALL the money they had received from this put them in the financial difficulty they left us in??

Cash for new Laws - Labour were accepting money from people that wanted the Law changing so it would suit the beneficiary.

Corbyn laying a wreath on a palastinian memorial

Anonymous donations being undeclared despite LABOUR making laws against this leading to the resignation of multiple Labour MPS.

It was also under Labours watch the the Rotherham Child abusers were able to continue as they didn't want to lose voters - which is despicable.

So while Labour are slathering at 'getting their teeth' in to the Tories - a lot of us can see that actually they are just as bad - if not worse tbh

RudestLittleMadam · 08/11/2021 16:53

He has always been a fucking embarrassment but always seems to come up smelling of roses even though he wallows in shit and has zero shame for how he and his atrocious government have fucked up time and again.

I don’t know what’s more infuriating: the fact he will no doubt get away with being a total cunt again or the sheer number of people who have insisted he’s “doing his best”. No he isn’t, he never has but even if it was true his best isn’t good enough so he shouldn’t be in the job any longer. Even before the latest scandal.

Evesgarden · 08/11/2021 16:53

@Sean2001

My Labour Mp is far far from useless. When I watch Newsnight I see and hear many MPswho are not useless. Everyone on our government is as far as I can tell me.

Please correct me - if I'm wrong.

Yet they dont seem to understand that males can cannot magically change in to females.

How is that useful too females? Its that pesky topic that most Labour supporters really won't discuss though isn't it.

ddl1 · 08/11/2021 16:52

I'm not ashamed personally, because I didn't vote for him (or rather for the parliamentary candidate of his party). I don't have much respect for him, howerver.

Pineapplequeen · 08/11/2021 16:46

@Sean2001

I think this is the beginning. Labour have finally got their teeth in and from now on won't let go.
Grin

Labour can bite in to it all they want. They are all as bad as each other - but its not on the same level as Tony Blair lying over Iraq and marching our army off to WAR. That man should be in PRISON as a war criminal. I have a Bit who was sent there.

They are ALL as bad as each other.

DuncinToffee · 08/11/2021 16:37

They got voted in on the oven-ready Brexit deal.

Maverickess · 08/11/2021 16:37

I was tempted to vote yabu simply because I am not embarrassed or ashamed of him or the government because I had no hand in what he's doing or how he got there, I haven't ever voted Tory because I just don't believe in what they stand for.

People that I know however, voted for and like him because he's apparently 'charismatic', 'funny' and I've even heard 'endearing'. But are right up there complaining about the NHS being managed off a cliff, not being able to find a copper for love nor money, 3 hour waits for emergency ambulances and a host of other things that come under the umbrella 'The state of this country!'
It's like they think he's a jolly celebrity not the mam running the country. I'm no political expert but even I know you don't vote for someone (or their party) because they are funny or charismatic and not take politics into consideration at all.

daimbarsatemydogsbone · 08/11/2021 16:33

@user1497787065

They were voted in as the least repugnant option at the time......
In a ridiculous system that almost everywhere else has abandoned (or never used) in country where the print media is controlled by lying tax-dodgers.
SparklyLeprechaun · 08/11/2021 16:23

Yanbu that he is a sleazebag.
Yabu to be ashamed - he's not your mate and you haven't voted him in.

The more outrageous things he does, the better. Let him dig himself into a deeper hole, since the opposition aren't very effective doing it for him.

LakieLady · 08/11/2021 16:19

The emergency debate on standards starts at 4.30 and is on the BBC Parliament channel if anyone wants to see the Tories squirming and trying to defend their grasping avarice and lack of scruples.

user1497787065 · 08/11/2021 16:19

PrescriptionOnlyMedicine · 08/11/2021 16:15

This government is largely a bunch of contemptible, corrupt fuckers. I am still bewildered as to how they were voted in.

Ghoulette · 08/11/2021 16:14

YANBU, but nothing is going to change. We will have to put up with this ponce being PM for as long as he will be alive, because he won't be held accountable and people will still vote Tory.

The fact there is nothing on the BBC front page about this also speaks volumes.

LakieLady · 08/11/2021 16:14

He's a mendacious, idle, useless sack of shite, but I'm not ashamed of him or embarrassed by him.

If I'd voted for him, I might feel differently. But then I'd need hypnosis or a lobotomy to vote for him, so I probably wouldn't feel ashamed even then.

Mischance · 08/11/2021 16:11

He always has been a liar, a cheat and a sleazy git ..... but thousands of people vote for him and think the sun shines out of his rear.

Nowt we can do because of the electoral system we are stuck with. It is pitiful.

daimbarsatemydogsbone · 08/11/2021 16:09

I am not ashamed of him - I didn't vote for the fucker. I am ashamed that he and his party can get elected here.

liliainterfrutices · 08/11/2021 16:08

YANBU at all.

The worst thing is that he still manages to garner support. He is morally repugnant.

deecee - I know the thread you're talking about. I could weep. How many children have been pushed into poverty by this government? How could people possibly believe that the Tories care about the rights of anybody except people just like them?
