I think he looks smarmy now and a bit gormless in that pic. Sorry, not a fan.

Bleepbloopblarp · 03/06/2020 10:47

He reminds me of the punch puppet from Punch and Judy for some reason - his face looks like it’s been fashioned from wood!

SistemaAddict · 03/06/2020 10:47

What time is PMQ? I could do with cheering up. A handsome, intelligent man wiping the floor with our buffoon of a PM will do the trick nicely.

PeskyEdith · 03/06/2020 10:47

He was 46/48 when his children were born. Can you imagine the furore on MN if his wife had posted on AIBU "DH will be 48 when DD is born - is he too old?"

She would have been inundated with replies saying that in 10 years time he'd be winding down to retirement, unfit nearly dead and out of touch!

Mittens030869 · 03/06/2020 10:41

I think he’s quite attractive and he looks like he smells nice. I’m also looking forward to him ripping Boris a new arsehole on a weekly basis at PMQ

He's already done that a couple of times. I'm looking forward to a cross examination over Cummings this afternoon.

AgeLikeWine · 03/06/2020 10:40

@PeskyEdith

he complies with socially conditioned expectations of what a leader should look and sound like

How did we end up with Boris Johnson as PM?

Brexit and Corbyn. In normal times, any half-way competent & credible Labour leader would have crushed Johnson.
totallydevoidofideas · 03/06/2020 10:40

Oh and I love it when he smiles, which obviously isnt very often! He has a great smile and because he doesn't use it much, it looks really genuine.

Mrsjayy · 03/06/2020 10:39

Ohmygod Lee from Gogglebox wins Grin

RainMustFall · 03/06/2020 10:39

Bbang You win the post of the week award Grin

He does absolutely nothing for me

totallydevoidofideas · 03/06/2020 10:38

I doubt anyone will agree with me here, but I think a really smart pair of designer specs would improve his appearance just a tad more.

AdelaideK · 03/06/2020 10:38

I like that photo. He looks very different.

pussycatinboots · 03/06/2020 10:37

He still is, and at least he is able to use a comb.

Khione · 03/06/2020 10:37

He looks like a Thunderbird character to me.

Plasticy and oiled. I do think he's better looking now.

LightenUpSummer · 03/06/2020 10:35

Very nice, looks quite corruptible in that pic Wink

Yummiest MP though is Darren Jones (Bristol north west)

SudokuBook · 03/06/2020 10:34

Greasy, nasal posh boy.

How is he a posh boy? His parents were a toolmaker and a nurse and he was state school educated?

I think he’s quite attractive and he looks like he smells nice. I’m also looking forward to him ripping Boris a new arsehole on a weekly basis at PMQs.

pictish · 03/06/2020 10:33

God that post was indecipherable with all the yeahing there. Sorry.

pictish · 03/06/2020 10:32

Um yeah, technically...but he looks all buffed up and smarmy which is not my thing at all.
I think he looks like a cartoon character now. No offence to him at all...but yeah he’s like something from Family Guy.

zoemum2006 · 03/06/2020 10:32

He really ticks my boxes: super intelligent and self made; a fighter for equality and justice but not preachy. He has a really physical presence that's very appealing.

BGD2012 · 03/06/2020 10:31

Yes KS was good looking. He was in his mid 30s in that photo with the blue shirt, he looked much younger.

MyFavouritePlace · 03/06/2020 10:30

He's got a touch of Egg from This Life in that photo!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/06/2020 10:30

Id never have picked that picture out as him. I dont think he's any better or worse looking now just very different.

lottiegarbanzo · 03/06/2020 10:30

I've always found his calmness, conscientiousness and intelligence attractive. You know he wouldn't miss the crucial detail and he's someone who listens. I find his voice a bit surprisingly 'light' somehow. (Same is true of Colin Firth, that's a fantastic link!).

Lookswise, dunno, have mostly heard him on he radio I suppose. I'm relieved he fits 'socially acceptable image of leader' as that gives him easier access to that game and helps allow for a functioning opposition. Looks shouldn't matter but... they do.

Sparklingbrook · 03/06/2020 10:28

No not seeing the attraction at all.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 03/06/2020 10:25

Oh PW is a nice looking fella .

Kier , meh , run of the mill face he had and has , in my opinion

SiaPR · 03/06/2020 10:19

@Bbang

I think he looks like Lee from Gogglebox Grin
I will never be able to unsee that now. Fantastic, thanks then.
