Bare bum in dressing room , AIBU.

I take DS to swimming. I got the times wrong turned up for the wrong lesson. I decide to go back to the changing room to wait. I find it hard to breath in the pool area, 30 minutes is ok, an hour and I can feel my asthma begin to act up.

There is a dad there getting his daughters dressed (fine) he was in the pool and he's down to his underwear.

Another dad arrives with his son, him and my DS are in the same lesson.

Anyways dad of daughters decides to get dressed... he drops his pants and is stark naked in front of his daughters. He is also by the door so if another parent was coming in their child would have walked into his penis! And it wasn't less than a minute because he was drying himself as well 🤢...

There are cubicles. He could have used a towel as well.

Why would and adult choose to get naked in a dressing room at a swim lesson for children with strangers around.

AIBU to find it bizarre?

His bum was also hairy and unattractive 🤢.

My gym - like every other one I've belonged to in the Uk or Germany - has single sex changing rooms, no cubicles and the showers are open too
(I've never belonged to posh / expensive ones with a pool)

We are all naked getting changed and showering;
I've never seen anyone trying to hide under a towel

We very rarely see kids there, as there is only an occasional class for them
However, when they are there, we continue as normal, no coverups
So kids of either sex will see naked women. The parents aren't bothered at all.

Well, you’ve made multiple comments about how it would have been “appropriate “ and “considerate” to use a towel which are loaded terms, in this context. You’ve also used specific language to imply he’s doing it purposefully....as if a child could walk into his penis. Honestly!

You’ve accused a man of being a perv when you went and sat alone in the men’s changing room and posted about the poor bloke’s supposed ugly arse on a forum.

Even if you thought you went in the changing room that corresponds with your child’s sex, you weren’t with your child at the time, were you?!

No...because we are all adults with children in the room. I wasn't expecting for one of them to go completely starkers! Besides there was nothing worth looking at!

But I am now aware that nudity in front of a strangers child is ok as long as you are in the correct dressing room! 😬👍🏽.

The internet exists for a reason. I don't need to sit in a men's room for nefarious reasons.... it's too easily accessible, just look at the hairy bum image posted earlier. Google is a wonderful tool.

@MrsFoxPlus4Again quite the opposite lol. I'm more annoyed at the people thinking I'm a perv because of my ignorance and many who don't quite read with comprehension in mind.

I would say you have a point in the unisex ones but fair game in single sex changing rooms to be naked.

You were in the wrong. Women should not go in mens changing rooms. Im surprised no one reported you. I have sons. I send 9yo in the mens and take 5yo in the women's or use unisex where possible.

No I sat there for 20 minutes in an empty room!

Dad and daughters came after me!

Dad with son came after them.

So I didn't walk in on him getting his children dressed, he came and saw me and my son sat there waiting.

Hope that clarifies.

There is actually nowhere. It's a stand alone building (dome). There is a short narrow corridor that leads to the pool, can't stand there as you end up blocking people coming and going.

I suppose next time it's back to the car to wait!

I would have stayed by the pool but the humidity fucks with my asthma... so I left. 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I think more of a princess poppy type troll doll would suffice... as that's more my vibe, I don't do orange men... too little bum hair!
