...to want to punch the lights out of the sanctamonious cow who said "Can't you read" to me when I accidently drove against the arrows in Tesco's car park?

Sanctamonious cow. Wanted to shout back (but wasn't quick enough) "Sorry dearie I made a mistake - like the one your mother made when she had you"

or would that have been too OTT? Grrrrr!

I get irritated when people drive against the arrows and so wouldn't do this deliberately - it was an honest mistake. However, I never feel the need to shout at other drivers.

Would bet my life that this stupid bitch has done the same at times. Oh am sooooo angry and annoyed.

Forgive bad language but am sooo cross.

I have made this arrows mistake in supermarkt carparks loads of times. I dont make it on the roads, because of No Entry signs.

the woman who shouted was lacking manners, imo. Lets hope she never makes any mistakes....

There are arrows in Tesco's carpark? Not sure I've ever noticed them before, will make a special effort to look out for them now

I find it quite satisfying to smile and wave cheerly and ignore any rude comments from other drivers. Tends to wind people up if you appear to be merrily oblivious and you can shine your halo and drive off.

I blame Tesco whenever I can

In our local tesco there is a 'gang' working apparently where they come and ask you for the time and then steal your handbag

It's chav central at our Tesco (and I'm not apologising for the use of the word 'chav' today)

Wanders off thinking the sun has gone to her head as feeling obnoxious......

I was going to post about something similar, actually!

I live on a one-way street, and now that I have a car to drive (!) I have noticed all these cars coming up the wrong way up our street!

It really bugs me...

I know these people KNOW they are going up the wrong way, and I guess it saves time, but it doesn't really excuse them does it?

To the OP, sounds like the other driver was being a bit of a cow!

If people scowl at me when driving or give me grief, I do a 16 point turn to waste their time or pretend I generally can't drive and can't get out of parking spaces. It's so funny to see them getting cross.

Can I just jump in and say that mistakes happen and some car parks are bloody confusing. People are too quick to get narked at other drivers and IME especially men.

Ok so this was an honest mistake and we all make mistakes. I don't think you'll be doing that again.

However, if you had been unfortunate enough to collide with a vehicle whilst going against the direction of the arrows you would be completely at fault.

i take a strict liability approach when it comes to driving.you can't afford to make mistakes even honest ones.and as such any mistakes must be treated as though they were done intentionally.i once broke a red light due to honest mistake, i didn't tear the police who pulled me over apart.they pointed out what i had done and asked why i'd done it, i explained the reason but didn't try to excuse it,i paid my fine. if you are ignorant and selfish enough to ignore the rules of the road(even in a car park) then you deserve to be shouted at, the same way people who do not indicate at roundabouts deserve to be put down.

Look at the logic here.
If you believe it was an honest mistake, then why doesn't it apply both ways.
akaJamiesMum claims it was a mistake that made her do stupidly dangerous things.
The other person made a mistake in telling her so.
If you are going to let off the belligerent incompetence of akaJamiesMum, then the other person surely deserves the same treatment.

I don't expect akaJamiesMum or handlemecarefully to agree. Because they are good drivers, aren't they, and as such any criticism of them is obviously wrong.
