To throw cat poo over my neighbour's fence?

I suspect I probably am but have had a few glasses of wine so here goes!

My neighbour's cat turds all over my garden and it's really pissing me off, especially as dd crawls around out there and will eat anything. So, DH stalks the cat, surmises that, because it spends an inordinate amount of time statistically on one particular neighbour's flat roof, it must belong to them.

So, I tipped a whole bucket of saved up cat poo (I mean, what else can you do with it - it surely isn't nice to put it in the black bin with your food waste?) over the fence, so it is now sat there in a rather suspicious looking mound. Some of the turds have gone mouldy. I expect my neighbours will see it in the morning. I have now had to throw the bucket away. Do you think they'll think it's me, or just a rather large cat? AIBU for being a cat poo thrower?

nightowl · 21/06/2007 22:17

maybe they assumed bob had dropped one in the flowerbed but were too nice to say anything in case they embarrassed him

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 22:17

This thread has made me absolutely ROFL PMSL LOL

Six - awful awful thing to do but hilarious. Sure your neighbours won't be as impressed. FWIW I would have made sure it was theirs before chucking.

I have a cat, it doesn't shit in my garden - I have no idead where it goes but would happily accept poo back from a neighbour if it was going in their garden or offer to get a repellent.

My ex neighbours cats used to shit in my flower bed so we put slate over it which sorted the job.

UCM · 21/06/2007 22:13

Bunch a bastards - I fucking hate cats. They sleep on my brand new baby's stuff, they sleep on my bed after I am asleep. My DH thinks I am being a bit OCD. No.

I FUCKING HATE CATS!!

aww shes lovely weebles...I have a tortoishell persian, a black fluffy moggy and a shorthaired silver tabby (shes grey really but silver sounds posher!)

weebleswobble · 21/06/2007 22:11

Oh don't you'll start me off

Sixofone · 21/06/2007 22:11

Ok well here is what happened. I went out to my car to get my case in from the boot, and said next door neighbour walks out of his front door at the same time.

I thought bollocks I am for the high jump now!! But instead he just nodded and walked off, not even a neighbourly pleasantry about how changeable the June weather is or anything.

He then gets the lawnmower out, and I watch out of the back window in desperation as I hear him making his way up and down, up and down, and then THWUMP as he runs over the large dried up cat turd in the middle of the lawn

I couldn't watch after that and ran back downstairs and put Embarrassing Illnesses on just for something to do. (Wished I hadn't).

I then heard him filling the watering can down the side of his house, and thought arse he's going in the back garden again, so I quickly ran indoors, and out of the back door, keeping my head down so they couldn't see me (it's a 6 foot fence but somehow it seemed necessary )

I heard the watering sound come nearer and I could feel my heart pounding, and then my neighbour shouts 'Julie? Have you done any weeding?' and Julie from inside the house goes 'No, why?' and neighbour says 'There's a pile of dead weeds in the flowerbed' and THEN, Julie said 'Bob must have dropped them when he was tidying up' and neighbour says 'Oh'

And that, ladies and gents, seems to be it! No comment at ALL about the cat poo, despite volume and mouldiness, but they noticed the weeds! Thank the Lord for Bob, whoever you are I love you

By the way though, I wouldn't hesitate to do it all again, but I think I will make sure I have the right neighbour this time

Ecmo - you have a Persian?? Have a look at my profile pic of my Chicken - she's not Persian but fluffy and gorgeous. I know UCM would just fall in love with her.

weebleswobble · 21/06/2007 22:06

Apologies Nightowl...perhaps you could find the tea cosy!

UCM · 21/06/2007 22:05
