To enjoy wearing a nice vest?

DH threw a metaphorical hand grenade into our marriage this morning.

He said (and I will quote him directly) "Darling, not even my mother wears vests as much as you do".

How mean is that?

I will at this point hold my hands up and say 'yes, I do like to wear a vest'.
But in my defence I:
a) do not wear one in bed
b) do not wear one when having sex
c) do not wear one in very hot weather
d) do not wear the long ones from Damart that you tuck in your knickers. I do own one of these but would only put it on in extreme condtions, such as if I needed to go and make a snowman.

So is my vest habit so very wrong?
It is cold up here in the North you know.
It is after all just a small top, that I wear under a top. It is in essence just a sub-top. Hardly justifies DH using it as a weapon to compare me with with my MIL is it?

I am of course only wanting to hear replies that back me up. I will show these to DH and he will retract his nasty comment. How does he know how much his mother wears one anyway?
eh.

I think we need to know more about the vests (fabric, label, style etc) to know whether or not you are indeed being unreasonable.

I am already in position.

I am so disturbed at your husband's knowledge of his mother's undergarments I will have to go and watch George Clooney on the telly.

I suggest you do the same.
