MIL offered to do a load of washing for us last week, as I have been ill.
FIL brought it back this morning, and at the bottom of all the meticulously ironed clothes was my naughtiest Ann Summers crotchless underwear. [mortified emoticon]

DP reckons she won't have really looked at it properly, but I know for a fact she'll have turned the iron down especially, and whinged to FIL about difficult to iron things.

I'll have to do my own washing now no matter what

Hilarious!
When I was 13 one of my 'friends' pulled my boobtube down in the middle of the disco. (Mind you, I didn't have any boobs as such!)

ZacharyQuack · 26/05/2007 06:00

Blimey how does she think breastfeeding actually works?!

Special childbirth pants, perhaps?

PinkTulips · 25/05/2007 22:08

my aunt did the same thing to me once, i popped a load of washing in her machine (living in bedsit around the corner from her so cheaped out by doing my washing at hers)

when i came back the next night she'd ironed the whole wash including my thongs.... and prceeded to tell me how pretty they were and she just couldn't resist ironing them

hatwoman · 25/05/2007 22:07

personally I think she'll be delighted to know that her dil is taking her widely duties seriously.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/05/2007 22:03

LOL, HC, you have probably confirmed what she always thought of you now

You'll not be able to wear them again without thinking of her now too!!!!

hippocampus · 25/05/2007 21:58

MIL dropped DCs off earlier, and was no different towards me even though she now knows I am a slut.

Either that or she thinks it's something to do with breastfeeding, given her onetime confusion over nursing bras

'crusty mop up wanky pants'!! Ha ha ha! This thread is hilarious!

My dh got fired unreasonably from a job last year and he kept one of his work tops for us to use for just this purpose, as an act of defiance. Accidentally told this to all my work colleagues a while ago after a few too many sambucas...

heifer · 25/05/2007 16:26

I bet she thought she had burnt a whole in them whilst ironing...

Either that - or don't be surprised if you see a Ann Summers carrier bag at her place next time you go round.....

elbarto · 25/05/2007 16:06

the right one was busy!

to be fair am now pregnant and planning on BF'ing, so she will be seeing them all the time! har har!

hippocampus · 25/05/2007 16:03

crusty mop up wanky pants....is that a technical term?

indiasmum · 25/05/2007 16:02

LOL! whats so special about the left one?!

elbarto · 25/05/2007 15:58

before we got married my husband showed my soon to be MIL a photo of my left nork that had crept onto a slideshow of pictures on his PC of my stepson.

even though I was dancing about trying to alert him of upcoming photo out of her eyeline, he just sat there mouthing "what? what??" at me.

and then it was too late. oh the shame...

indiasmum · 25/05/2007 15:58

i accidentally gave dh's crusty mop up wanky pants to my mum to wash (buried in the pile of washing i hasten to add).
they came back soft, sweet and ironed. didnt dare tell dh......i was embarassed for him

MamaG · 25/05/2007 15:58

PMSL This thread is brilliant.
Did you nearly die of embaressment mrsmalumbas?????
I would have

mrsmalumbas · 25/05/2007 15:51

PMSL at crotchless knickers - imagining look on my MIL's face if she came across mine. Actually I don't have any, I am a fully paid up member of the Big Pants party. My DD did once bring my vibrator down to the kitchen when we had new neighbours round for drinks though.

Mindles · 25/05/2007 15:50

Sorry... I'll go now.

Mindles · 25/05/2007 15:49

Maybe they inspired her

hippocampus · 25/05/2007 15:48

Absolutely right...I should be grateful she didn't come in waving them saying she thinks her washing machine has ripped them.

Still though.
