Hi there

Make sure you have a look at the acronym list at the top, its a list of all abbreviations that we use.

Find a thread and jump on. I definately second what dragon faerie said, MN is a huge addiction.

Welcome ktmoomoo - can be very addictive... I'm work full-time but dont get half of my work done because of MumsNet!!

Can any of you actually 'do' text speak? I wouldn't know how! My dd does it and I haven't a clue what shes on about most of the time! Guess its an age thing!

very addictive and agree with maureenmlove if easily upset be careful,dont take things too personally.you get allsorts of advice on here,some wanted some unwanted.but i love it.

hello & welcome to mn ... I think the general advice is just get stuck in - everything else is pretty self-explanatory.

As you may guess from some of todays' thread titles, some of the debate on here can get rather more, ahem, heated than some other parenting sites, so a thick skin & a sense of humour are useful things to have about you!

welcome.You will find this website full of good hearted people always willing to help someone is desperate times.You will also come across the debates which get extremely heated sometimes.But its great !!!!
