sorry, acronym list, not abbrv list

theUrbanDryad · 15/05/2007 13:11

hi KT - welcome to MN!

there is an abbreviations link at the top of the screen, so you'll soon learn what ds, dd, dh/dp/dw mean. YABU is you are being unreasonable. YANBU is you are not being unreasonable.

Cod's typing is like a Magic Eye picture.

don't admit to giving your child a sausage roll in his/her buggy.

ditto Friot Shoots

btw - do you eat grapes in the supermarket? before you've paid for them? and what are your views on reusable nappies?

i'm sure you'll fit right in!

Hi KT

contentiouscat · 15/05/2007 12:07

Ive got to go dismantle the mouse - looks like the children have got food in it again!

MrsWeasley · 15/05/2007 12:07

Hi
My advice is if you read something that you feel about. type a post (but dont post it yet) then pop the kettle on, then read it again before posting (or just delete it and laugh).

Smile whilst you type (be careful if in a public place or at work

Oh and of course use lots of smileys

Oh and read COD's posts twice whilst squinting and you'll soon pick up her language style.

ktmoomoo · 15/05/2007 12:05

contentiouscat · 15/05/2007 11:57

Oh dont type in capitals unless you are SHOUTING

contentiouscat · 15/05/2007 11:56

Hi & welcome

Some people get very emotional about:

Mother & baby parking - always starts a disabled v mother & baby slanging match
Bratz Dolls - apparently look like hookers
Fruit shoots & "junk" food in general
If you are better mum if you Stay at home or work

Avoid all unless you want to start a bunfight (which can be fun) - LOL

Great fun if you can have a laugh about it! Most people are very nice but there are a few nutters.

MrsBadger · 15/05/2007 11:53

Hello

MN is divided into a bunch of different topics
so when you post you can put it in the most appropriate one to help other people who are interested in the same things find it.
Eg if you have a nappy question, post it in Nappies and potty training , or if you just want to chat, try Chat ...

Writing posts that are easy for other people to understand (spelling, grammar, capital letters, pressing return occasionally etc ) means more people will take the time to read your posts.
