...to think that on my birthday....

I am sat downstairs alone doing a bloody online tesco shop while DH is upstairs asleep having put ds1 to bed and being so tired that he can't possibly get up.

And I cant believe that he has forced me to post in AIBU. Unforgiveable!

No you are not being unreasonable - I'd be bloody livid. My advice, for what it's worth:
1 Go upstairs and shout at him a lot.
2 Drink your beer and watch AI.
3 Get in the bath with a good book and more beer.
4 Ring his mates/parents/siblings and tell them exactly what a great birthday you've had.

did you tell them about his non-sleeping? perhaps you need to be a bit more errr economical with the truth.

no no no, I mean a real lie in. Tell him to take the kids OUT. Like OUT for breakfast so you can have some peace and quiet till at least ooh say 9am.

Tell him you'll reciprocate on his birthday!

Well the highlyight of my day has been going on a school trip with ds1 - it was a really great morning!

We had dinner in the pub which was more stressful and enjoyable - an extremely tired-5am-rising 4 year old and a 5-times-a - night waking 2 year old both of whom have boundless energy are not the best dinner companions at times!!!
Anyway
I have beer and american idol
