for wanting to walk in the park without being bounced on by giant b*stard dogs?

Shouldn't people keep an eye on their fricking dogs and not let them run all over parks and scare the crap out of people? Was subjected to about 5 minutes fending the world's biggest dog off before the stupid bitch of an owner came sauntering round the corner. Don't people understand that just because they think their dog is great doesn't mean anyone else does?

didn't help that shortly after being attacked by dog was also stung by a wasp (my other nemesis). I might go to bed in a minute and start again tomorrow.

Lol - me too cyclonbabe. I can tolerate my friends dogs, but not strangers dogs IYSWIM.
One of my friends had a huge Staff called Sunny and he was gorgeous!

yes but you dont always want to be friendly back. It shouldnt be enflicted upon you especially when you have young children or are scared of dogs.

If one more dog owner tells my DD who is terrified of dogs that one more time I will take the lead and stamp some dog poo into it

If we take our dog to a park we only go at a time when it is usually empty otherwise we go along pathways.

Seriously, it wasn't even like it was some little ratty dog, it was bloody huge. I'm not a massive dog fan and I really don't want DS picking up on my fears, but it's not going to do him any favours if he gets knocked over by a dog when he's young. I reckon it ough to be legal to shoot them with tranquiliser darts if they're caught out alone. The other day there was a kid of about 5 with some huge evil pit bull type thing, it drives me mad!

I think they should all be kept on leads.My dd and mindee were scared half to death the other day at the play park(why take a dog there???) when it ran straight at them.

they are only 2.5 and 18 months,and the mutt was bloody huge.Hate the owners more for not having them under control tho

I know exactly what you mean - I really hate it and the owners just say "Awww, it's ok, he won't bite you - he's lovely really" when he's slobbering on your shoes and practically chewing your arm off!

whilst walking down the road a couple of years ago, a dog jumped out at us. It was an extremely friendly dog, and jumped up at dd (about 9 or 10 at the time) it was licking her face and it had its paws on her shoulders.

She was terrified and when I got her home, absolutely covered in scratches from the dogs claws.

And the dog was being friendly.

I hate it, we do have a dog ourselves but I would never let it off the lead in a public park - he has one of those extendable leads.

I think it is totally unreasonable for dog owners to let their dogs out of sight.
