To be annoyed that my neighbour took my washing in for me when it started raining?

Ok, yes I am being completely totally unreasonable, it was a lovely thought, she is very sweet.

However she just bunged it all in the basket and by the time I got home it was so creased. I am a bit control-freakery with my washing and I fold it and organise it into piles as I take it down from the line. I don't iron so this way works for me. Now I have a huge pile of creased unorganised washing to fold and sort.

Yes, I told you, I am being unreasonable, I should be thankful that I have such I lovely neighbour (I am, really) but I though you would all enjoy a bit of my grumpiness

Nice, but annoying.
My mums neighbour used to do this, but neighbour smoked and it all came back stinky! My mum used to dread it.

Aww she's not my MIL is she?

My MIL decided to get 'involved' with my washing one evenng while we were out and she was babysitting.

It was kind - but when I came home she had put the carefully sorted ironing pile in the washing machine and was washing it again and mixing up the dirty clothes with the clean. Nightmare.

'Ah well, silly me!' she cackled well meaningly as she dashed off into the night leaving me knee deep to sort the whole horrendous lot out while the warm glow from my precious and rare night out evaporated.

All folded and away, that wasn't so bad

Still got the nappies to put together.

I am supposed to be at the Spring Tea at school in 10 minutes...

lol, YABU but I understand too, despite being an ironer myself

i had a neighbour who mowed our lawn randomly while we were out - just the front one - because we were bringing down the tone of the street

i think it was sweet of her to bring your washing in but I wouldn't have been happy if someonme had then gone though my washing and folded it.

I know this sounds daft but it would feela bit too personal to have someone smoothing out my smalls

YABU - but I totally understand! Our garden is along side the farmyard where dh works. Once, it was rainging so he rushed over, folded the rotary line full of clothes and chucked it on the kitchen floor Didn't want it to get wet ...!

Sorry, I wouldn't swap her for the world. She even cuts our grass, washes our driveway, washes my car and paints the outside of our house. Says she has nothing to do, she's even volunteered to help me de-clutter the house. I LOVE HER!!

...and if you're a non-ironer you do have to be careful about how you peg, it is very, very important to avoid ironing at all costs.

Asked dc's a few days ago, "darlings, do you know what an ironing board is?".
Can't have them embarrassed at school.

YABU, but I understand. I hate dh getting the washing out of the machine, as he doesn't do it right! I always make sure the trousers, socks etc are the right way out before they're hung up, and socks are hung up in their pairs. Everything has to be spread out properly, so that it can dry as fast as possible.....

actually I left mine out in the rain the other day - and a bird pood on it - not sure I can really blame the rain for that though
