To think there's nothing wrong with being lazy.

It's just one of those character traits, like being a morning person or an evening person, or not liking broccoli, or being good at maths.

Who will join me - I'm lazy and I'm proud.

thank god for nurseries I say. ds potty trained himself, he couldn't wait for me to decide to start it.

Franca, you would be proud of me, I put him in nursery for an extra day for the first week (usually he goes 4 days) so that they could do the bulk of the training. I wanted to wait longer, but ds has to be trained to move up to the next group at nursery. Nearly all his friends have moved already and he misses them.

(Still trying to motivate myself to pack a bag to take to the laundrette tomorrow - for a service wash naturally.)

We've been potty-training ds for over a fortnight now and we've yet to have a poo in the potty, what's on the inside of his trousers should not see the light of day (he's a two or three times a day boy). In true lazy spirit I've been chucking away his poo-y pants rather than deal with them.

dh bought an electic toothbrush. but I can't be bothere to use it. It takes too long.

Less effort, bran, is to turn them inside out (if you can be bothered) and wear them again. I do that with my knickers all the time.

It gets worse Scummy, I may actually be forced to do something about the laundry. My new washing machine was supposed to be delivered on Friday but didn't turn up, John Lewis are being vague in the extreme about the whole thing. It's either loads of handwashing or a trip to the laundrette, I can't decide which is less effort.

My sister and I sometimesa have weekends away. We are 'Pootle and Bimble' because that is what we do all weekend!

I've always admire the word pootle. To pootle all day must be a fine thing.

And our anthem should be the song:-

'I'm busily doing nothing,
working the whole day through,
trying to find lots of things
not to do.'

Naaaah, that still implies some sort of effort.

It used up the last reserves of my strength rabbleraiser, I had to fetch my emergency supply of G&B Maya Gold and sit very still contemplating my dire laundry situation.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't make millions. He runs a magazine called The Idler. Makes perfect sense to me too - it's about having a better quality of life but with fewer resources and slower pace - not needing to acquire stuff all the time, - an anarchist basically.

Must get round to reading it. If only i could find the time.
