Lovecat - you can buy a nice scratchy synthetic friction mitt (in any chemist) that also washes at 60. Much more efficient than a loofah. Scrub in the bath with a bit of shower gel, rinse body and apply body lotion.

Boil flannels once a week or sooner if looking skanky... obv. we're just a breeding ground for germs...

You can wash flannels at 60 celsius as long as you wash them every day. They are a complete breeding ground for germs otherwise.

Flannels, but they need to be washed on a hot wash EVERY day to avoid germs.

Wotszaname - depends what's wrong with her. If she has a temp or headache, off to bed. Otherwise, read or TV.

frenchleave F&Z won't allow the word spider in thread titles as she hates spiders, so asked everyone to use the word loofah instead. Now the word loofah makes me itch too.

frenchleave i saw the work 'loofah' in your post and screamed and moved on. F&Z has a lot to answer for, now i'm loofah phobic as well as spider phobic.

I don't really know - mine when i was about 15 i think, but people can keep growing generally until 17 - 18.

Just answering earlier question - insane 90 year old won't be dying anytime soon - she can still do 9 holes at the golf course. She's come round at least once a day every day for the past 6 years to tell me off about something. If we fart in the house she's round to tell us about it. I hate her with an all-consuming passion.
