For getting cross with other medling mother......

Little rant....was at my postnatal coffee yesterday and one of the other mothers actually went into my dd's pram to get a blanket and put it over my dd while I was feeding her, as the mother thought she felt cold! IT'S MY DAUGHTER, am I being unreasonable for being angry that she stuck her nose in??? How could I have defending myself without causing offence? Hate confrontation but don't want to seem like I'm a complete walkover!

I actually think it is a quite nice thing to do, but then i am a weirdo.

i would be annoyed if someone just put a blanket over my bayb without saying anything. i would think she thought she knew better than 1

if they said "oh baby looks cold, would you like a blanket?" thinking maybe you did, but couldnt reach as you were feeding baby, then i wouldnt be insulted

if i didnt think my baby was cold i would just say "no shes fine, thank you"

She was trying to be helpful. Yes, it's an intrusive annoying thing to do, but is it really worth a fight? I would probably roll my eyes a bit, and mutter about English mothers being goofy about the cold , but her intentions were good, really.
