I can't text speak, I just have bad tiping

Tigana · 27/04/2007 14:10

Text speak is meant for texting on mobiles because there is a limit on the number of characters you can have before it uses up more than one text and costs you more. So, sort of makes sense to say 'u' instead of 'you' as it saves 2 letters. That said I only ever use it when my text is too long.

Pointless using it for email etc as there aren't size limits involved. Lazy.

WanderingTrolley · 27/04/2007 14:07

Text speak is possibly the worst crime on mumsnet.

followed by no bloody punctuation whatsoever in a long post without paragraphs ive also noticed such posts tend to be porely spelld have you and then they end wanna chat

Yeah - (sorry - yes) - when I text my ds1 or anyone else I have to put in all 's and all letters - just in case they think I don't know where they go - wish I cld () not do this - is this a compulsive disorder I wonder!!!
