To be annoyed I didn't get an Anya Hindmarsh bag?

Or more specifically to be annoyed at the people who did?

I always do my weekly Sainsburys shop on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning, shop is always pretty empty. I live on North Coast of N Ireland, not exactly fashion/latest trends hotspot, so I assumed very few people up here would know about it, and arrived at the shop at 8.

I didn't get one, because some people had been outside the shop since 1 this morning! Most arrived around 6, and had I been there 10/15 minutes earlier I probably would have been one of the last to get one, as only a couple of people in front of me didn't get one.

What made me really annoyed was the women who had got them talking openly about selling them on ebay, and the fact that some of them don't even normally shop in Sainsburys (according to staff, who said they recognised about half of the people who got them).

Sorry for the rant, I think I probably am being unreasonable to be annoyed, but it doesn't seem fair! I wanted one to use it, I always shop there!

My friend's made a fortune from the "got to have one of those" weirdos!

Sold a Primark dress on e-bay for £100!

Enid · 25/04/2007 10:29

that dress comes with a free rolled up £20
apparently

oliveoil · 25/04/2007 10:25

the Kate Moss ones?

There is also a lovely one shoulder dress in lemon

but I would saunter in and get in in my lunch hour if I wanted to shop at TS, not queue from 2am and fight

DrNortherner · 25/04/2007 10:24

Kate Moss range is a bit grim imo. Does it include 20 silk cut and rope for hanging out of windows?

Enid · 25/04/2007 10:23

god yes

I really like the military style jacket though

kittylette · 25/04/2007 10:23

plus they look like ugly old sailor bags

oliveoil · 25/04/2007 10:18

hey folks

don't forget, the next Emperor's New Clothes installment is when Kate Moss does her stuff for Topshop

I predict queues and riots a la Primark

IT'S STILL A HIGH STREET STORE YOU WEIRDOS

Enid · 25/04/2007 10:17

twobabies they are tiny

too small for a changing bag

go to Topshop and get a cloth one for £7

(thats what I did for the first ferw months with dd3)

TeeCee · 25/04/2007 10:15

It's a fucking bag. An ugly one. W T flyig F???
World's gone mad.

KathyMCMLXXII · 25/04/2007 10:14

I thought these bags would just look so uncool because what they really say is, 'I am only using this rather than a plastic bag because it's trendy'.

ScottishThistle · 25/04/2007 10:13

They're not nice & they're as cheap as peas so you'll pass one on every street!

kittylette · 25/04/2007 10:13

its a bag who cares?

they sell reuseable bags in aldi, get one of those

I have to say that the reason i'm disappointed is because I really liked the bag. I already have a bookstart one which I use for the library/dd plays with, I have a recycle for essex one which I use for the shopping and wanted one of these because I don't have a change bag for soon to be baby and they looked really nice.

Plus I don't have the money to ever even consider buying designer clothes bags etc and this would have been a nice treat for me because it was only a fiver. I would never consider/be able to pay the prices on ebay so thats why i'm disappointed I can't see how that makes me sad?

LIZS · 25/04/2007 09:56

mamatres · 25/04/2007 09:50

charliecat · 25/04/2007 09:48

ScottishThistle · 25/04/2007 09:47

charliecat · 25/04/2007 09:43
