To expect BMW drivers NOT to overtake on a (mini) roundabout?

Is it too much to ask? Or are ALL BMW drivers so arrogant as to think the world revolves around them (especially X5 drivers)?

totally agree, nothing wrong with window shopping at all

nearlythere · 19/04/2007 14:17

just because the shop's shut, doesn't mean i can't do a little window shopping!!!!

i'll just sit and swoon silently, but i think it is in the interests of local business partnerships that we join his lot for the bbq tomorrow, and anyway my girls are all quite obsessed with the sexy young things that work with him!!!

TheShopaholic · 19/04/2007 14:14

oh yes, then you have a problem - leave him alone!!!!!

nearlythere · 19/04/2007 14:11

slight problem- i would end up infatuated as i did many years ago (he is like a greek god- and still holds a torch for me!!)

BUT

i'm now married with kids- so i have to grow up and resist these out of character urges to jump on him- must be my hormones!!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 19/04/2007 14:09

Viscountess has a Landy

I still have my old Series III that the DCs and their friends like to play in. And yes, they do make boys stop, open mouthed (we call it the Landrover Petrificus Totalus effect).

It might be able to overtake a beetle on a roundabout. And I don't mean the VW sort of Beetle.

TheShopaholic · 19/04/2007 14:08

oh go for it

mateychops · 19/04/2007 14:01
Grin
nearlythere · 19/04/2007 14:00

oh bugger,
i'm sitting here agreeing with everyone about the arrogance and general shame of bmw ownership and the sexy man has just turned up and stuck his head through my window to see if me and the staff want to join him and his staff for a bbq tomorrow lunch time!

i'm changing sides- bmw's aren't all that bad!!

mateychops · 19/04/2007 13:53

Jealous are we? 'cos I drive such a fantastic car in such a brilliant way?

bossykate · 19/04/2007 13:44

but i guess if you join a club of rude drivers, you will be tarred a little with the same brush

actually i find that bloody rude

mateychops · 19/04/2007 13:32

MM, you must have been driving badly, that's all I can say. BMW drivers are FANTASTIC, it's everyone else that's the problem.

hunkermunker · 19/04/2007 13:29

Haha, I used to work for BMW

Don't have one though.

Gingermonkey · 19/04/2007 13:26

I've had an X5 (2 in fact) and now have a Range Rover (and they have all had blacked out windows and the RR in particular looks like I am a dodgy drug dealer!!!) and I am very nice and I let people out all the time. In fact I drive like more of a tit when I am driving my Mini . Dh actually looks a bit like a drug dealer too (big bloke, shaven head, casually dressed all day, doesn't work regular hours.....) I don't let bus drivers or taxis out though, because they don't let anyone out and they block pedestrian crossings.

Manictigger · 19/04/2007 13:08

And you want sympathy ?!

TheShopaholic · 19/04/2007 13:06

me too! I got even more hassle when I drove my A4 though...

ViscountessPetitLapin · 19/04/2007 13:00

Ooh, I love Audis.

custy · 19/04/2007 12:44

it's a cock car

MerryMarigold · 19/04/2007 12:43

I have no idea of the prices of posh cars, but I would rather have an Audi or a Saab than a BMW. Just because of the image.

nearlythere · 19/04/2007 12:43

the infirm ones usually fall off the road within a few metres so they aren't a worry lol

Manictigger · 19/04/2007 12:41

Of course you're being completely unreasonable - they are BMW drivers after all... and don't get me started on Audi drivers......

MerryMarigold · 19/04/2007 12:34

surely you wouldn't want to follow an infirm driver going 20 miles an hour in a 60 speed limit! you may need to overtake them on a roundabout!

OP posts:
MerryMarigold · 19/04/2007 12:33

i'd rather be patronised than beaten up

nearlythere · 19/04/2007 12:33

i admit to taking pity on volvo drivers around here they are either infirm or coppers! neither option i would like following me so i let them out first!!!

Blu · 19/04/2007 12:30

I was about to forward this thread to you, BK.

But you see, we Punto drivers just get patronised - people feel sorry for us and let us go first as if we were infirm.

nearlythere · 19/04/2007 12:29

he he!!
