to think its wrong that a father had his daughter dressed ONLY in a pair of shorts!!!

when having a walk in the paking with my ds yesterday i spotted a father playing with a ball with his daughter (who was around 3). As I got closer I could see that she was only wearing a pair of shorts!! no vest/t-shirt just shorts! I know the sun is out but it's nowhere near hot enough for that imo. I pointed this out to my dh who said there was probably a good reason- she might have got her top wet or something??? Is it just me or does anyone else find this wrong!

ds1 goes outside in the garden with no shoes, on, just pyjamas and frost on the ground (we do call him in to put on a coat etc).

My DSs were running round the garden in just nappies/underpants yesterday. I did try to persuade them to put T-shirts on briefly, but five minutes later they'd been discarded. Had to drag them inside in the end as DS2 was covered in goosebumps but still refused to put clothes on!

no just sitting on the grass rolling a ball back and forth to her dad, but I had a light jacket on and did't fell too hot and was pushing a buggy. Just didnt think yesterday was no top weather!

We had to walk round the sombre majesty of Knole Park and House yesterday with dd dressed only in a skinny Hello Kitty (goodbye taste) t shirt and pink leggings!
She declined to wear either her warm fleece hoodie, which she normally loves, or her windcheater.
I half expected to find a thread on Mn about this, she was ludicrously underdressed but short of manhandling her into a jacket that she would then remove in seconds, what can you do? I also think by this age they are old enough to make the connection between choosing silly attire and suffering the consequences. Most annoyingly dd was chuffed to bits with being half-naked and clearly has antifreeze in her blood

i'm probably just being over protective!! other kids did have shorts as it was a lovely day but she just looked so small to have nothing on top i wanted to wrap a blanket around her!

it was quite warm yesterday if you were active..I went on a six mile walk and could have taken my top off if I had been 4

my 2 yr old dd did run into our very sheltered garden nude yesterday afternoon, but i did put clothes on her when i caught her and we'd had jumpers on in the park that morning. i can't bear to think that any of mine are cold/hungry or tired, but that's just my issues! there were kids in shorts yesterday!

It may have been her idea. My kids used to rip their clothes off in ridiculous weather (and paddle in the North Sea in January)
