Just been reading a thread further down where yes some scumbag bloke had been horrible to someone. Lots of outrage and tell him he has a small dick, tell him he has a micro penis basically mock the size of his genitals.

Can you imagine if a woman upset a bloke and all his mates said tell her she has awful labia, tell her her fanny is horrible, tell her she doesnt look normal down there
Its horrific!!

Do you know how many lovely men with smaller penises get inundated with this? Do you know how many teenage boys worry themselves to death because of comments like these?

Its depressing/sexist/cruel and plain nasty. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Wedrine4me agreed! it seems because SOME men are insulting and derogatory, it doesn't matter if they all get insulted by the tiny penis comment.

Wedrine4me · 22/04/2017 20:49

Valentine - i think that's the thing. Most people don't realise the effect their words could have on the innocent nice men (or women) who are affected by these insults.

four - I have no words for your ignorance. By all means give them a dose back but bear a thought for the innocent men of small size overhearing your crass comments and being affected. Use your brain and come up with an insult more appropriate to their arseholeness, instead of bandying insults around that won't mean a thing to them anyway if its not true.

Yes worra i have never needed to reaort that retort either Hmm

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/04/2017 20:43

Totally agree Spartacus. Lost count os the times I have been in male comapny with them giving dick size debates/insults. Bigus Dickus etc. And mostly in a work environment. It is all part of the male culture. It's not female culture. If women do it, it's all a bit laddish etc

Exactly. I see and hear men making testicle and penis jokes / comments and insults far more than I see and hear women doing this. In many male oriented environments they seem quite obsessed with their cocks and balls and not having a big enough dick or the balls for something is quite a common put down for a man who they consider is not acting with the right level of dominant masculinity.

There was a very similar thread late last year by the way.

kali110 · 22/04/2017 20:42

Yanbu at all op.

Or it could be because the woman doing the insulting are lazy/possibly not intelligent enough to think of a better insult.

You've summed it up for me worra !
Handmaidens, yes what a surprise, the usual insult along with cool wives Grin

FourToTheFloor · 22/04/2017 20:40

Feed that should say.

FourToTheFloor · 22/04/2017 20:37

So Worra at a young age and someone trying to publicly humiliate you you'd opt for the well thought out argument???

Yeah right.

It should never be acceptable for anyone to discus my breast size in a derogatory way. If someone feels that's OK then I will always give them a dose back.

Funnily enough I have no issues about my breast size, managed to fed 2 dd etc. I also have no meek-poor-me syndrome. It's not really childish to call a cunt and cunt in words they understand.

MercyMyJewels · 22/04/2017 20:33

"I think we both know it's more often than not the former there Bertrand, rather than the latter. "

Why do we know that? When small penis is more of a crime than the shit daily levelled at women and this is defended by women: *

WorraLiberty · 22/04/2017 20:30

I suppose if being an arsehole is also your thing, that's fair enough in your mind.

Personally I would rather put across a well thought out argument, than bring myself down to that person's sexist, name calling, childish level.

FourToTheFloor · 22/04/2017 20:27

I stand by my retaliation of small penis. And would say it again if I had the same initial comment.

Two wrongs may not make it right but I'm not going to meekly turn the other cheek when someone is being an arsehole.

I see your point OP. I was one of the people on that thread who wrote the kind of thing you are talking about. I didn't see it as body-shaming and looks at it like a casual tit for tat kinda insult. You have made me look at it in a different way. Thanks for that.

WorraLiberty · 22/04/2017 20:24

I think we both know it's more often than not the former there Bertrand, rather than the latter.

Particularly when leveled directly at a poster/posters.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 22/04/2017 20:23

Vile men do shout horrible body-shaming things at girls and women; reading the same sort of thing on here directed at men makes the think those posters are vile.
I don't like seeing horrible abusive name-calling wherever it comes from, and until people stop doing it and modelling it as funny and clever, it will go on.
In the same way as a woman can be innocently going about her business only to have an insult hurled at her, the men being slagged off for this 'defect' don't even have to have done anything 'wrong'; there are often threads about 'trivial reasons for finishing with someone' and sooner or later the small penis comments start, with cries of 'ew!' and 'pencil dick'.
Yes girls and women are subject to unreasonable pressures to look and behave a certain way from an early age, and yes they will probably have faced a barrage of insults by the time they're middle aged, but that doesn't make it okay to humiliate men for something they can do nothing about.

BertrandRussell · 22/04/2017 20:22

"'Handmaiden' is a sexist insult, sometimes thrown at women on MN, by some other women who claim to be feminists."

Well, yes it can be that. It can also be a description of a sort of behaviour some women exhibit where they, for a variety of reasons, prioritise men's interests and wishes over either their own, or all women's, or both. It's from a book by Margaret Atwood. Feminism does not mean agreeing with what all other women do or say

ShoutOutToMyEx · 22/04/2017 20:21

I don't like it either. I have a friend who has a micro penis, the shame and anxiety around it is horrendous and not made any better by these kind of comments.

He's a lovely, lovely guy who's never been able to have a relationship because of his disability - how on earth is the idea of that something to find funny?

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 22/04/2017 20:20

last hardly lying though am I? I said some
You have your views, I have mine. Let's leave it at that.

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 22/04/2017 20:19

meek the disgusting text was he didn't think she was good in bed. Guess what, he doesn't have too think she's good in bed.
Doesn't warrant the small dick responses!

I could point you in the direction of a few threads in classics, where there are pages upon pages in some threads of women discussing how shit their exs performed in bed, descriptions of their penises.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 22/04/2017 20:17

There was tonnes of sympathy on that thread - people simply called you out for lying that if men were to insult women, all hell would break loose. And here I see you are lying again!

LemonScentedStickyBat · 22/04/2017 20:17

Completely agree with OP and heartened to see so many agreeing. I am also enraged by the 'short man syndrome' crap.

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 22/04/2017 20:12

good luck OP I got dived on the other day, when I posted pictures of women discussing attacking their male partners, how shocked I was because you don't see threads/forums In the public about men comparing notes of DV they have committed.

Men don't get no sympathy off some posters on here.

runs into hiding

UppityHumpty · 22/04/2017 20:11

@Mermaidinthesea123- totally agree. I personally prefer no longer than 4-5 inches and fairly narrow. DH unfortunately is a lot larger. I'd never shame him over it though.

I agree OP. Bodyshaming is bad.
