What do you get irrationally annoyed about?

I have been smiling to myself at 'am I being unreasonable to want to go to the BBC HQ and bite someone' and 'am I being unreasonable to be Homicidal with Rage about ...' threads

I am generally a chilled person ... I can't get myself worked up about parent and toddler car parking threads for example ...
And laughed till I cried over the 'grapes' thread years ago on Mumsnet ...

BUT: When I help my children do a jigsaw puzzle and find at the end that there is a piece missing I get soooooooooooooo irrationally angry that I want to chuck a chair out of the window ....
Obviously I don't ... as I am a 'nice mummy' and I would scare my children. But inside I am screaming "Where is that faaaaaarrrrrking jigsaw piece????????"
I have to go and take deep breaths and calm down or have a gin
I am the same with lost shoes.
And if someone parks their car on the pavement on the way to school and I have to push the buggy out onto the road to get past I have to suppress an urge to run my keys down the side of that car

So, what silly thing do you get irrationally cross about????

Well don't worry I'm sure you aren't as bad as DH's family and I'm sure I'd love you.

Oh and the B*stards who can't wait 30 seconds for me to open the door and get my DS out of the back of the car on the road where we live (where we have to park on the street)..even though the traffic lights are on red at the end of the road anyway!!

Tortington · 28/02/2007 11:08

At work when people say " i'm busy"
inferring that their time is more important than mine.

HOW FUCKING RUDE - fuckers.

paulaplumpbottom · 28/02/2007 11:06

Can I ask why you are always late? My Dh's whole family are never on time. I mean like they are usually more than 15 minutes late. Usually 45 minutes. Why do people do this. Explain it to me?

Spot on about people pushing past you with buggy thing Bandofmothers - that REALLY drives me insane.

Sometimes I feel that my buggy must have the same powers as Harry Potter's invisibility cloak - (i.e. I stand behind it and everyone behaves like I'm not there!! )

Tortington · 28/02/2007 11:04

i get annoyed with fuckwits at mini roundabouts - usually women. " oh my which way now" its the same love, just smaller LOOK TO THE EFFIN RIGHT

trucks that overtake on the motorway - on a fucking HILL

motorway madness every friday WHERE ARE YOU ALL GOING? dont you know my trip is important ffs true though i do think that its bizarre!

i want to physically beat to death with a wet kipper the fuckwits who fill up there car with petrol - the petrol station is full. cars are waiting for petrol - queuing - and they leave their car right there in front of the pump whilst they go to pay - or WORSE go do a bit of shopping - "la di da whilst lots of people are waiting i'll just get some bead,oh those choccies lok nice, oooh look special offer"

fuckers. MOVE YOUR CAR to the parking space.

another one

petrol station - the sill fuckers who queue at one pump becuase the nozzle goes in that side ( usually right side of car)

THE HOSE STRETCHES - you daft fuckers.

loads of the above plus people speeding on residential roads, people using mobiles while driving, idiots in huge 4x4's in a city. I swear I'm going to get hold of a tank one day and just drive at them...Oh and I'll squash all the ones that are parked on the pavement

paulaplumpbottom · 28/02/2007 10:52

People who are always late. Drives me crazy.

BandofMothers · 28/02/2007 10:44

Prawns, One day I will let loose and scream.

prawnsmum · 28/02/2007 10:25

Ok, I phone my mum for a good long chat on a Sunday. Get cup of coffee and announce to the whole family 'Right, I am going to phone Grandma'. Two minutes later....'Muuuuum, can I have some money/go out/where are my trainers/ can I 'just'go on the computer for a minute, what's for lunch? muuuum'

ipanemagirl · 28/02/2007 10:17

Oh and white van drivers who come up behind you and sit on your bumper until you change lane

Any aggressive/dangerous drivers

ipanemagirl · 28/02/2007 10:14

1] People who let their dogs crap all over the pavement and leave it there

2] People who have untrained dogs off their leads and let them jump all over people who don't like dogs

3] People who spit onto the pavement

4] People who empty their ashtrays out of the car door wherever they are

5] Politicians who lie shamelessly

Bugsy2 · 28/02/2007 10:07

when people leave the big white price stickers on the bottom of their shoes.

BandofMothers · 28/02/2007 10:01

Also agree with the cars parked all over path.. Have builders near me and if I think it's a tight squeeze I go anyway. If I scratch their cars/vans then tough s**t.
Hate taking pushchair in road as it's on a corner and people tear down it so fast.

ghy · 28/02/2007 10:01

LOL @ queueing .... it never bothers me ... or rarely. There is a queue, so my turn will come.
Like finding a parking space. Full car park ... I will go in and know that eventually (never ever more than 5 minutes) someone will come, get into their car and drive away, leaving me an empty space. So I will stop somewhere in the middle of the carpark, turn the radio up and watch for leaving shoppers. DH, on the other hand, will driver quickly round the car park, swear a lot, then say "Bugger it, I'm going home!" and go home, no shopping done.
That makes me shake with rage

Earthymama · 28/02/2007 09:57

I live near a FE college and as I use public transport get to see a lot of the students. They are terrified of venturing up the bus if there isn't a free seat (ie if they can't sit on their own in a seat for two, or with a mate) they stop stock still with their great big bag and won't move.

So behind them are people trying to get on including me with little ones and buggy.
Steam comes out of my ears!! I usually resort to instructor mode and point out what they need to do ie MOVE!!

I know the world can seem scary when you're a teen so could I ask anyone whose child will soon be using public transport on their own to please, please take them on the bus a few times and explain the etiquette!!

BandofMothers · 28/02/2007 09:44

When it's busy in town and I, with my pushchair and walking toddler, see loads of people coming towards me. So I stop to let them by and then people push past from BEHIND ME and rush past the people coming towards me.
Like I'm standing still for my health. I feel like screaming at them "I'm Fing letting them past not Fing window shopping you ignorant, stupid tw*ts!!!!!"

Hassled · 28/02/2007 09:42

Queueing for anything. I'm not normally impatient but there's something about a queue that turns me into a raging, muttering madwoman who HAS to be served NOW! Also dog poo outside schools.

fryalot · 28/02/2007 09:37

people whose clothes labels stick out from behind their necks.

I want to reach out and tuck them in, but the last time I tried this, she noticed and I had to leave the shopping centre in case she thought I was a weirdo
