Apparently he said on telly "Tense meat is tough meat....that's why you should be nice to your wife before bed because you want her all nice and soft..." or something similar. WTAF!! And on a family show like this morning!! I did like the bloke before but now I have decided to hate him. That is just vile isn't it?

I don't mind drunken blokes saying this to each other at the pub. But to me, this, on telly, is rather grossly inappropriate, very offensive and outrighly vile.It conjures some really unpleasant images. I hate it. AIBU?

I remember him saying that, and Phil telling him off, saying he'd gone too far.
Didn't bother me at all.

MrsKeithRichards · 08/02/2013 22:37

I was more freaked out by the topic of discussion on the Wright stuff yesterday. It's the first time I've switched it on in ages and was confronted with the topic 'should women put up with sleazy come ons and the occasional grope from car salesmen to get some money off their car?'

Bobyan · 08/02/2013 22:25

I bet Paul Young was worried he'd come back and stay Grin

MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 08/02/2013 22:20

Noel Grin

PlinkyLove · 08/02/2013 22:18

Look. I never been done for no crime and I am probs better cook than d'campo twaT. MAYBE AS a lady I cou;d start to earn what TwT D;campo earns??

NoelHeadbands · 08/02/2013 22:13

I don't think it actually was Paul Young's house?

But he'd laid his hat there, so...

BarredfromhavingStella · 08/02/2013 22:12

See I put Gino on a par with Keith Lemon (& fuck me are they funny when they're together on celeb juice) so it's the sort of thing I'd expect him to say-yabu, it's amusing.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 08/02/2013 22:12

Should we worry about what anyone says then?

Or just sit around drinking cups of tea while the world just dribbles on around us?

wannaBe · 08/02/2013 22:11

He served his sentence for braking into Paul Young's house in 1995. So we're talking almost twenty years ago for a one off offense. But let's just hold that one conviction against him for the rest of his life shall we? Just because people don't like him. Hmm

PlinkyLove · 08/02/2013 22:11

I would be tense meat if I was Mrs D' Campo. I don't know nothing about no robbery by the way but I wouldn't excuse it as some mistake. But D'campo is always making this sexy type talk. Yuk.

landofsoapandglory · 08/02/2013 22:10

He's still there, Sparkling they all do different days. I love the bolke who does curries, he has his own show on Channel 5.

HesterBurnitall · 08/02/2013 22:09

Just a funny little joke comparing women to pieces of meat so don't get all focused on what he says? Right.

Sparklingbrook · 08/02/2013 22:08

Oh right land. I haven't seen This Morning for a while, I didn't know he was the resident chef type person. Where's Phil Vickery and that hilarious bloke that does the curries?

landofsoapandglory · 08/02/2013 22:06

Sparkling, he said tense meat, but had got his words mixed up and actually meant something else, I think tough meat or something. Hence, there was banter between the 3 of them and one of them said "no one likes tense meat" and Gino said "no that is why you should be nice to your wife before you make love!"

It was just a bit of banter and a joke, that's all.

I agree with everything wannaBe said.

Yeah yeah stop trying to be a wannabee wannaBe wannabe Confused

Sparklingbrook · 08/02/2013 22:02

He has been in the UK since 1995. Surely he would have developed a less OTT Italian accent by now. Confused

NoelHeadbands · 08/02/2013 22:00

He makes my skin crawl. My vagina seal shut and my clitoris invert inside my body.

I do like his recipe for Italian shepherds pie though.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 08/02/2013 21:59

I agree with everything wannaBe said.

stifnstav · 08/02/2013 21:58

He probably watches Allo Allo on a video boxset every night for innuendo inspiration.

MadameCastafiore · 08/02/2013 21:57

Is there some law that you can't be on the telly if you are a criminal?

Or do you just not like people at some point in their life did something stupid, were convicted and paid the price for what they did.

Obviously he has been rehabilitated so good for him.

Don't know if he is a dick because I don't watch the bilge that is this morning. Mainly because Phillip Schofield is a dick.

Mytwobeautifulgirls · 08/02/2013 21:57

Is this morning really s family show??? I don't personally agree the majority of people at home watching it are sahm with small kids that don't understand the content of that statement. why get so worked up about it. Smile

Sparklingbrook · 08/02/2013 21:56

WTF is 'tense meat' anyway? Confused

RobinSparkles · 08/02/2013 21:56

YABU for saying that This Morning is a "Family Show". When the hell was it ever a family show? Hmm

I know it's on in the mornings but they talk about lots of stuff that children shouldn't hear.

PlinkyLove · 08/02/2013 21:55

WannaBe, have you ever been burgled by some low life? Its not great. Also he is a bit of an idiot and rich for playing an Italian Chef of some import. He is probably a twat on many levels. Also quite an ommetto.

landofsoapandglory · 08/02/2013 21:54

It wasn't quite like that. It was said banter between him, Phillip and Holly. It certainly wasn't one sentence, one or the other of them spoke in between too, IIRC. It made me laugh at the time, I know that much.

I think you are over reacting, especially as this happened days, if not at least a week ago and from your OP it sounds like you didn't even hear it!
