I think doing it whilest a small baby is in a cot is very diffrent to doing it while child of any age is in the bed next to you, also i just dont under stand how any one could get aroused when you basically eye ball to eye ball with your child

I sure in cultures were people live in one room or huts this happens but not in the wester world were we dont have 6 family memebers to a room not when you have the CHOICE TO NOT HAVE SEX WITH A CHILD SLEEPING IN YOUR BED NEXT TO YOU WHY WOULD YOU DO IT.

Yeesh. It's just SEX. Why is everyone so uptight about it? It's how the baby was made, they were in the bed every time their parents had sex while the mother was pregnant, what's so bad about a baby being next to its parents rather than in between them?!

KellyElly · 25/06/2012 21:24

Monkey child beside you child inside you - some people are comfortable to have sex in one or both of these situations and some aren't. Its individual choice isn't it.

EclecticShock · 25/06/2012 21:22

So judgemental, there are instances were its acceptable...

RagamuffinAndFidget · 25/06/2012 21:16

crashdoll Safe co-sleeping guidelines dictate that your baby is kept well away from your duvet. So hopefully any parents who are co-sleeping with their children and having sex in their own beds will be nicely covered with their duvet while baby sleeps happily under their own covers!

monkeymoma · 25/06/2012 21:15

"People have sex when they're pregnant. You could say how can you feel turned on with a baby kicking and moving inside you."

totally different because the only way to have a sex life when pregnant is to have it near the pregnancy. Not the case with co-sleeping in most western dwellings because you dont HAVE to have sex in that bed to have a sex life, you can go to another room, there is no other way to have a sex life when pregnant like that so its totally different

GetOrfMoiiLand · 25/06/2012 21:15

NO WAY THAT IS SO GROSS

YES WAY

its like Phil and Ted's excellent co sleep shag adventure

I'm in the who gives a flying fuck corner.

People have sex when they're pregnant. You could say how can you feel turned on with a baby kicking and moving inside you. I don't think anyone is having wild porn style sex here just being intimate. I wouldn't personally do it with my child in the bed next to me but I don't judge those who do. I have when my daughter was a little baby in her cot in the same room and didn't feel that was weird at all.

crashdoll · 25/06/2012 21:06

But how can feel turned on with your child under your duvet w/ you?

Hullygully · 25/06/2012 20:59

Buppy's gonna shoot me any minute.

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 20:57

I've done it

Actually the other thread has the most outraged posters on it, I expect they will all stampede over here soon enough.

EclecticShock · 25/06/2012 20:56

Again, sex is not dirty or wrong...

Splinters · 25/06/2012 20:56

The op clearly came on here to be unreasonable, why shouldn't I?

squeakytoy · 25/06/2012 20:55

"Ive had it with DC in bed. DC was under one. We had no option, child had to sleep on bed"

Of course there was an option... the option NOT to do it..

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 20:53

I like reading all the outraged disgusted posts Grin

RafaprefersHobnobs · 25/06/2012 20:51

This again...

crashdoll · 25/06/2012 20:50

How do you avoid squashing the baby? Does it mean you're limited to non-energetic, bouncy sex?

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 20:48

I think it's ok if its a little baby tbh

RagamuffinAndFidget · 25/06/2012 20:45

Splinters Wouldn't AIBU be a pretty boring place if people only ever posted about things that were their business?

Hullygully · 25/06/2012 20:42

there's one of these already.

KellyElly · 25/06/2012 20:42

Tigger even!

KellyElly · 25/06/2012 20:41

Ragamuffin Tiger impressions lol :)

crashdoll · 25/06/2012 20:40

If there really is no choice, then obviously fine but in this day and age, I'd hazaard a guess that the majority of baby-in-the-bed shagging parents do have other choices. It's not about sex being 'dirty', it is private though.
