Ds is a horrible nasty Ds :-(

Ds and I were talking about Dinosaurs yesterday and returning them Jurassic Park style. But instead of a zoo he had the grand idea of miniaturising them.

So you could have a Vivarium with a mini T-rex and feed it mice like a snake. Or a little outdoor herd of Brontosaurus like chickens, and keep Triceratops like goats.

But then Ds did the thing of evil. He said "Mum, you could even have a baby Mammoth, like a miniature dog, it could be about the size of a Micro pig, oooh ohh we'd call the the Micro Mammoth".

He then went on to speculate grooming it and it snurfling treats out your hand with it's trunk, and it curling up on your lap all warm and toasty.

He is horrid.

I spent all day wanting a baby Micro Mammoth. I woke up this morning wanting a Micro Mammoth and I still want one now. I have glowered at Ds repeatedly but he laughs at me. Angry

I am now longing for my baby Micro Mammoth that I will never have Sad and blame ds for this in full.

AIBU?

He did all the sciences at school and then selfishly used the physics part to become a helicopter pilot and fly for the air ambulance saving lives. Priorities all wrong that kid <tuts>

Ugh. What a little shit. I would curl my Micro Mammoth's hair, she would be soooo pretty. Now I am sad. Cheers helicopter-hero-horror.

WiddlinDiddlin · 26/07/2025 22:19

Horrid boy.

Imagine a whole flock of them... you'd call them in from the garden for their teas and they'd all trundle in, trucks sticking out, doing tiny trumpets of joy, tails stuck out behind them as they ran..

Ugh. I want 8. At least.

Oh god! I just checked the date too! Definitely too late to the party

ConfusedSloth · 26/07/2025 22:09

I think you can get miniature highland cows - would that work?

What about the wooly mammoth mice?

JadeMember · 26/07/2025 22:07

FFS! I want a micro mammoth now. My DS (15 ) is a very keen scientist so he promised that one day, if it’s in his powers😂, he will genetically make me one. I’m not holding my breath for that one though😂

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 26/07/2025 22:01

Yes but I resurrected it, and wrote it so you have one people

Oh no! I didn't check the date on these posts ☹️ I was just thinking "Yay, I've found my people" when I discovered I was years late to the party!

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 26/07/2025 21:47

UPDATE: Ds is 22 now. I still want that fricking Micro Mammoth. Not. Over. It.

Forget the tiny mammoth, I want a puffball Chinese crested puppy now! Sad

sashh · 09/06/2012 11:28

And I love, love, love these falabella ponies But I suspect you couldn't really take them to bed, as they may not be house-trained.

You can house train them, they can be used as a guide instead of a dog.

I think I have a soloution until DS gets his doctorate

YANBU - now I also want one! (See, he has a ready-made market).

And YABU for posting this - If I hadn't known they might be were possible, I would not have known what I was missing.

I think that it is perfectly reasonable to force him to create Micro Mammoths

maristella · 18/05/2012 21:13

tiny elephants? yes!

Haberdashery · 18/05/2012 21:11

Is one of you my brother? Only he's been obsessed with the idea of tiny elephants and has been for years. I think it's unlikely he'd be posting on Mumsnet, but you never know.

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 18/05/2012 20:21
