I have answered the original question and then defended it when you didn't agree with it. You want to think Trump is the worst human being alive, go ahead. I think it's the leader of Afghanistan where women can't get medical care, speak or sing in public, uncover their bodies or have any safety from rape or beatings and then men there just go along with it. Women have no rights there at all. We don't agree, that doesn't make tunnel vision focused.

Exactly. Pure cruelty. They can't see a dentist or doctor. The hatred for women there is something hard to comprehend. And all the men there go along with it.

Except there was quite a lot more to the story. Anyone could sign up to that group without any qualifications (or evidence they were a real person and only a minority even voted on it (nor was there any investigation or evidence beyond their uninformed opinions (even experts need actual evidence). Had the BBC (and other reporters) done any due diligence we might have a chance at actually understanding what had happened.

Just because it isn't a genocide, which has a very specific legal definition doesn't mean it's not a horrific war and that far too many innocent people are being killed and it doesn't mean Netenyahu and the IDF aren't committing war crimes. So just because people think it's not a genocide doesn't mean they think it's all fine and dandy. Hamas knew this would happen. They did it because other Arab countries were starting to make peace with Israel. They have stockpiled food in the tunnels in preparation for this and refused to allow Palestinians into the tunnels or to have access to food and safety. They are equally responsible for the destruction and death toll as they are doing nothing to prevent it, and are actively enabling more deaths. All in order to win a propaganda war where they are suddenly the poor oppressed heroes fighting for their land. They are all despicable.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I’m not a gullible believer of everything the media says either- far from it! However, I can’t help but see the total destruction of Gaza. It’s not like Ukraine where there are bombed out buildings but somehow people are managing a semblance of everyday life (God bless them).

This is endless destruction: people living in the bare concrete shells of buildings. Then there’s the settlers moving in further and further with their caravans pushing Palestinians off their livelihoods.

I don’t believe Israel is the only country behaving dreadfully. I do believe there’s an unhealthy desire to condemn it.

The attack of 7th October was evil and despicable. BUT it seems to me that the wrong people (women, children and the vulnerable) are being wiped out as punishment .

There simply has to be a better way. If Netanyahu isn’t a war criminal he should explain himself. I feel as if we’re in a world of bully boys now. Trump’s behaviour empowers it.

I assume they will once the war has ended. But if international law is to mean anything, all the evidence will need to be collected and due process has to be followed before judgment is given. I hope it is.

True! The BBC reports that the international association of genocide scholars say Israel has met the accusation of genocide. The truth is I don’t know but certainly the reportage from mainstream media makes whats going on seem horrific. If Israel is merely defending itself then they should open themselves up to war crimes investigations.

Maybe more evidence was to hand? There were NATO troops on the ground then and I believe UN peacekeepers. A lot of aerial evidence of mass graves etc. And I think the Serbs for example announced their intention to ethnically cleanse certain areas.

I think Putin is the worst having directly caused the death and maiming of hundreds of thousands of people in a land grab to expand his country's borders.

I would say Xi Jingping of China comes in second having oppressed and killed thousands of his own people and ethnic minorities within China, largely without much protest from the rest of the world.
