Gong Li is/was is an absolutely mesmerising beauty, and a brilliant actress too.

The opening scene in Raise the Red Lantern is unforgettable. No words, just a single tear. She can express so much with just that magnificent face.

Zhang Ziyi is also gorgeous but imo lacks that special something that Gong Li has.

I disagree. I think Helen Taylor (Kent) is/was beautiful.
As was Princess Margaret - wherever she got it, it certainly wasn’t from her mother.
Diana wasn’t beautiful but she certainly had something.
Meghan has beautiful eyes and a gorgeous smile.

I don't agree that Meghan has beautiful eyes, they are a bit small and smile is very fake. I don't especially dislike her, but she does seem very artificial, although no more so than most of Hollywood. I don't think Margaret was beautiful, she had a very strong nose and chin.

I don't agree about either of them. They are just well groomed, not beautiful. Diana was the closest to a beauty the RF had IMO, and even she wasn't physically gorgeous, it was more her aura.

Are people just mentioning women they admire? Because even allowing for subjectivity, it's hard to see how some of those mentioned fit the 'most beautiful women ever' category.

Exactly. She is just a normal looking woman. If she wasn't a celebrity nobody would say she was good looking. I feel the same about Harry Styles on the men thread. He is just an average man.

There's some left field choices here. Bit like the other thread, some women I'd say are pretty but not unusual looking as in you can go to any city and see pretty (often young) women about.

Absolutely agree with Kristen Scott Thomas. So elegant. And yes , Megan Markle is a very beautiful woman despite what anyone thinks of her. She is absolutely stunning in Suits!

For balance, Catherine Princess of Wales is beautiful too. Not a royalist, but she is lovely.
