I subscribe to Great British Podcasts (which is supported - surprise, surprise - by BBC Sounds) and get a weekly email. It's a really good way of finding new things to listen to.

Today's email promotes She said, They said which is a "fantastic, fresh and insightful new podcast be Mermaids, a charity that supports transgender, gender diverse and non-binary youth.... At a time when trans and non-binary issues are a common talking point amplifying the right voices

Oops! Pressed post by accident.

She said, They said which is apparently a "fantastic, fresh and insightful new podcast be Mermaids, a charity that supports transgender, gender diverse and non-binary youth.... At a time when trans and non-binary issues are a common talking point amplifying the right voices are (sic) all the more important. "

"Amplifying the right voices". They should call their podcast 'the Siren Call'.

Due to renew my TV licence this month but cannot stand the direction they have taken, on this and other issues. Going to investigate alternatives....

Mine is paid by direct debit and automatically renews. There's so much about the BBC that I still value but their uncritical acceptance of the TRA agenda (eg Olympic coverage) is starting to seriously piss me off.

Sounds shit. Time to cancel the licence.
