But world breastfeeding week was shat all over for not being inclusive of people who can't, or choose not to breastfeed.

If breastfeeders (I'm not one any longer, but I have no objection to them having their week of awareness) aren't allowed a week, am I allowed to spend 2022 screeching about how it's so divisive and discriminatory? Though tbh I probably fit somewhere under the alphabet soup umbrella, as I don't wear makeup. I've lost track of whether I'm male, female, or something else entirely, by their categorizing.

I’m breastfeeding my 4 month old. I stayed away from that discussion as it was so upsetting. I hate this.

I will say breastfeeding is so, so hard. It’s not men sobbing at 3am trying to calm a crying baby who won’t latch and your nipples are bleeding. Off you fuck. All of you. I’m so done with this shit.

Isn't it already what with trans history month, pride month, trans nobody has been murdered but we are going to pretend they have so we look more oppressed month/day, and all the rest?

What do they expect from their demands for "visibility unity and equality" that they haven't got right now? Does their collective egomania and insistence upon validation from strangers have no bounds (not really a rhetorical question)? They can GTF.

"Alright!" bawled Vroomfondel banging on an nearby desk. "I am Vroomfondel, and that is not a demand, that is a solid fact! What we demand is solid facts!"

"No we don't!" exclaimed Majikthise in irritation. "That is precisely what we don't demand!"

Scarcely pausing for breath, Vroomfondel shouted, "We don't demand solid facts! What we demand is a total absence of solid facts. I demand that I may or may not be Vroomfondel!"

"But who the devil are you?" exclaimed an outraged Fook.

"We," said Majikthise, "are Philosophers."

"Though we may not be," said Vroomfondel waving a warning finger at the programmers.

"Yes we are," insisted Majikthise. "We are quite definitely here as representatives of the Amalgamated Union of Philosophers, Sages, Luminaries and Other Thinking Persons, and we want this machine off, and we want it off now!"

I am sure some years ago, I read there was concern about women in developing countries opting for bottle feeding because it had wide implications not least being supply and ability to pay. I believe the UN saw this potential problem and therefore Breastfeeding Week.

Year of The Queer, I live in fear. Just a thought but wont the big corporations start to get a bit fed up?

Sympathies Sexnotgender Breastfeeding can be exhausting.

Some of those involved with this will be the grifters - seeking to fund themselves via other people's money. If they can get a year of queer, they can beg for funding from government and companies - some of whom are stupid enough to comply.
Hopefully the needs of those negatively affected by covid, (health, employment and living wise) will be a priority next year. Mental health, bereavement and loss, child abuse, WAWG - so many competing rights. As part of this 'community', I can see the excessive funding everywhere - and it rarely gets to those in real need.

Pride can go to the back of the queue.

I think any government would be very, very wise to steer clear of ever using that term, queer. They’d need a very clear definition of ‘queer’ before supporting any ‘queer’ group. And have the confidence that it would not change in the future.

‘Ahhh… yes Minister, we did have an official ‘queer’ week in 2022. It certainly did not include that paraphilia 10 years ago. No. No we don’t support that particular activity. We just thought it meant x….’

Of course, then there is the divisive nature of the term ’queer’. As there are so many voices who also rightfully object to the term being used due to previous abuse associated with that term, anything official would also need to use a different term all together.

However, with all the different labeled days, weeks and months, don’t we effectively have this every year!

Maybe we should revisit the ‘international year of the child’. It feels like this may be more beneficial to the world as a whole.

They're getting ratio'd on Twitter by people objecting to the use of the q-slur: 'your only interest is boring trust fund kids playing at victimhood by calling themselves "queer" but never having to do actual same sex stuff or take any real risks'.
