Excellent: publicising of the witch hunts has begun!

Why does some random teenager who doesn't like a stranger's views get their calls for sacking aired?

Men trying to stop women saying what they think ... but hey, it’s really radical and modern all this trans stuff. Nothing regressive about it at all.
Nice to see the Labour Party doing its usual bang up job of protecting women from abuse again

Any hope this will help? Hopefully she'll be clear why she's resigned.
I have to say I found the article difficult to follow, maybe too early. I think the unnamed stuff didn't help me

Very impressed that her colleagues supported her, though, rather than tow the 'progressive' line and denounce her as a terf.

Age old story of men bullying women but now we get to call it progressive.

The problem with the GRA in a nutshell: "the fear of appearing politically incorrect is preventing proper scrutiny of the legislation and its far-reaching consequences."

Where "far reaching" is possibly the understatement of the year...

Trans activism is just a Trojan horse movement for men (whether TIMs or not) to wreck feminism from the inside.

Had a quick look for Adrie van der Meer on twitter. The first thing I see is him saying he's got no money and wants people to give him money to buy coffee. Why am I not surprised by this?

Poor woman. I am delighted she's been supported. Almost makes me feel kinder towards the labour party! Wink

The woman, Anne, at the centre of this tweeted a screenshot of an exchange by these two losers where neckbeard compliments the TIM for looking more feminine than Anne in the photos published by the Times. Tells you all you need to know.

I'm impressed by the solidarity, but the fact they are the ones to leave is typical and its worrying. If the decent people leave in disgust, it leaves the people who caused the problem.
I've seen this in groups and the workplace, and you can end up with a really bad culture as a result; driven by a minority with an agenda, one that has that has nothing to do with the original purpose of the group.
It always seems to be driven by narcissists or control freaks who overestimate their own capabilities.

Any bullying is always wrong and I suspect the two involved here don't speak for the majority of the transsexual community. Sensible debate will always get them further. However, I do expect the majority of the transsexual community are a little bit fed up with being tarred by the same brush by a right wing press with some members who'd like to write them out of existence. After all being transsexual is down to a recognised medical condition, Gender Dysphoria. There is a standardised treatment pathway for the GD just like many other medical conditions. Let's not forget either that GD is not something which anybody chose to have. Most transsexual folk probably hear others opinions of them significantly more than most often in a form of abuse and bullying. Yes, these two appear to be a couple of prats but I think the papers are only too keen to pick these stories out and print them in a negative light. I suppose good news doesn't sell papers.

The "he/him, cis" guy is now begging Owen Jones to follow him on twitter. It's all a bit pathetic.

LucyLu I suspect you mean well, but you are amazingly behind the times. Death threats, rape threats, doxxing, trying to get people sacked - this is all pretty standard operating procedure from trans activists against women who don't toe the line nowadays.

Of course all transsexuals don't agree with them. But they get threatened and shouted down, too, if they speak up. The extremism noted in this article IS now the mainstream.

But what about the transgender community. You know, the community that calls the transsexual community truscum?

After all being transsexual is down to a recognised medical condition, Gender Dysphoria.

This is now considered a transphobic viewpoint by mainstream transactivists, hence why they are trying to have process de-medicalised under the proposed new GRA. Having gender dysphoria is not a requirement of being transgender.

This couple of prats are representative of a lot of TRAs in the labour and feminist movements who are looking to push anyone out of the movement that does not agree with their position on trans issues. It's pretty shameful that it is only the intervention of the right wing press that is shining a light on this issue. The Guardian would not cover this in a month of Sundays, left to their own devices.

It would make me feel kinder towards the Labour Party if they had done something about the months-long harassment campaign against Anne Ruzylo, who one of their officials.

With respect, having a very intimate knowledge of the transsexual community and a very close relationship with a number in the transgender community I'd say I haven't heard the word 'truscum' directed at me. Of course I've had many similar type words directed at me sometimes as I'm leaving work minding my own business, other times whilst accompanying my 13 year old daughter outdoors. I suppose maybe just for being me, I deserve it, who knows? Of course there are a minority group called TRA trying to push what most consider an extreme agender but the majority in both communities live life quietly and peacefully just trying their best to remain out of the public glare. They certainly don't speak for the majority anymore than the EDL speak for the majority of white English folk. I'm sure it suits some to push their agenda as main stream but in reality I think most sensible people know it isn't.
