Wish she'd get a move on though, I can't wait up all night. Wink

Has anything happened (cam too dark right now)? Link says she might not give birth for another 2 weeks?!

Report

Blimey I didn't see that bit! My sister sent me the link and I thought I'd put it on here because it would be lovely to watch. The mare was quite restless last night so I thought the birth was imminent. Confused

She's swaying like an old sailing ship tonite, but no sign of foal. [pout]

Oooh! She lifted her head....
Wait, there must be some paint drying somewhere I could watch, too Wink

I think something is happening, dp thinks it was a wee, but i don't think so

I don't want to get too excited but she's lying on the floor and isn't settling, she keeps wiggling and I think her sides are moving a bit (like she's panting)?

If this starts to look right I'm waking up DD (pony mad)!

She looks like she's sound asleep (sensible woman).

Reminds me of watching 24 hour Big Brother coverage.

I take it back - she is awake.

I don't think MN have ever had a live webcam labour thread before.

i've been watching now for over an hour....is she close?

Report
peanutbutterkid · 18/06/2011 02:12

I think she's close, but close might still mean hours from now!

Every other time I've watched this for a spell, she barely moved from leaning against the left wall, head facing camera. Tonight she's moving around an awful lot, down, up, back, forth, head up, down, often back towards her sides..... I wish someone had neatly braided her tail for us so we could have had a better look at her bottom when that was perfectly presented to us.

And it's nighttime, right? She'd be sound asleep if she was comfortable, wouldn't she?

wow, it's hanging out of her chuff

Sorry I confused a hairy leg with a newborn hairy horse. Blush

I got a bit excited.

I will grab my coat Blush

Just seen this, watching it now and no sign of a foal yet.

That stable is very small isnt it. I know shes big and bound to take up a lot of the room but surely she could be in a bigger stable or at least a corner of a quiet barn?

My 13.2 SHP mare is in a bigger stable...

Is she stabled 24/7 now?

I know, and I'd have a nice deep bed with banks too. Poor girl looks a bit bored!

I was just coming back to say her bed is really thin too. I cant make out weather she has rubber matting or not and maybe they will put her a few more bales down when shes a bit closer.

I think I just saw a mouse or small bird on the stable floor.

She looks bored, tired and uncomfortable right now doesnt she. A minute ago she was flaring her nostrils but i think she was just stifling a yawn.

shes pretty much nodded off now.

Anyone see the article in the H&H about the twin shire foals born recently?
