I've got very fond of Dick and Angela who obviously adore one another but am concerned he's getting on a bit, he works so hard, she might wear him out.

Stunning place isnt it? Feel faintly envious but quickly overcome by thought of the stairs. Beautiful to look at though.

I saw this for the first time! Not good when I’m looking for a new house. Now I’m thinking I’ll buy a ramshackle castle and do it up and make a craft room and it’ll be lovely. I’m assuming there will be YouTube videos to talk me through it.

I love this series, it's interesting, but also heartwarming! They're such a happy family. Dorothy just loved the Parisian shopping. The scene at the end with the family films was just lovely. I'm also worried about Dick! Heaving all that heavy stuff up and down stairs etc.

Hello all you Chateau lovers!! Grin I too worry about Dick, he needs the exercise but he also needs to cut down on the baguettes and charcuterie (they all do). Its difficult living in Fr. but it can be done!! We just buy croissants, etc, when we have visitors.

After seeing them being made on GBBO i can't eat them anyway!

Ha ppeat, once Id seen danish pastries/croissants being made, that was the end for me too. THE BUTTER! Havent eaten either in years, although now that I think of it, no effect at all on weight, maybe I'll start up again.

LOVE ETTC. It’s so lovely. I want to see more rooms being decorated.

It always amuses me how Angel never knows any more French!

Hello all! Can I join?
Love love this as others have said perfect Sunday night tv. So calming.

I also have house/family envy. I want to waft around in a floaty house coat and do macrame (sp?!) dammit! Wink

Have yet to catch up on last episode!

Twat Angel seems frightened to use her Fr. in front of the cameras. I understand! Also a lot of the French people are frightened to use their English in front of anyone! Though of course it is their language in their country!

Oh and even with central heating in the winter these stone places with stone floors are not the sort of places to waft about in a light housecoat! You need warm jeans, leggings, 3 sweaters double sox and thick slippers !!
