So hard to see David Schwimmer as anything other than Ross tho!

I watched it yesterday online. It was quite good except John Travolta really hams it up.

Watching. Making me feel very old because I was an adult when it happened in the 90's .

Just about to start on live pause. I do not have very high hopes TBH.

It's meh.

Though I did have a bit of a moment when Ross came opposite seafood platter guy.

Travolta doesn't even look like himself

He looks like there was a fire at Madam Tussaud's and they patched him up with Schwarzenegger by mistake.

Report
ineedaholidaynow · 15/02/2016 21:54

Why didn't they just go and arrest him?

Report
Destinysdaughter · 15/02/2016 21:57

Oh no! Is that it?

Report
Angeladelight · 15/02/2016 21:57

If it is a fairly accurate presentation then how the hell he got off is beyond me - even with the political climate at the time.

Well he has the eyebrows right.

Followed the trial live on TV at the time, and it was such a travesty of justice that I cant bear to watch him get away with it all over again. The poor Brown and Goldman families Sad

Was reading an article about this earlier, and pretty much true representation of events.

Off the top of my head, he got away with it due to:

The best team of lawyers money could buy who created so much doubt around the prosecution case.

Poor techniques by the forensic team during the blood sample collection

One of the detectives (Mark Fuhrman) was recorded using a racist word so his vital evidence was discredited.

The 'glove doesnt fit' moment which sealed his acquittal.

So, if someone who vaguely resembles John Travolta, and David Schwimmer, are his defence team it certainly was a travesty he got off - they were like Laurel and Hardy, they were so inept in tonight's episode!

How the fuck did he get Away with it? Did they bribe or pay?
