Yes, I went about 10 years ago and have never looked back. Turns out M&S had me in the wrong size bra. R&P fitted bras were just perfect. Went back to M&S when I was 7 weeks pregnant and they said I was 36DD - even I knew that was so far out as I'm a size 10 with a 30" back. Went to a girl who has a shop near where I live, she used to work in R&P and she got me exactly the right size. Think it's a fab place.

I have been to Bravissimo, I highly recommend it. There are lots of thread on Bravissimo too so I won't go on and on and repeat myself on your thread.

Yes Mimi- that's my problem. M & S and John Lewis put me in different size bras.

R&P looks extremely expensive and it's too far away, so I've never been.
I probably do wear the wrong size, but others' tales of Bravissimo have put me right off going there. I have quite a wide back and big boobs so I buy a 38E. It sounds like everyone who goes to Bravissimo goes home in a 28H or something equally bizarre sounding. I'd rather wear something slightly the wrong size than end up not being able to breathe with huge itchy red lines etched into my skin because of what some shop assistant reckons is correct.

it is expensive yes. they do lots of makes tho, but the cheapest bra you are looking at will be about £30.

Go for the experience, find out what size you are, buy one, and leave. Then look in dept stores for similar sizes.

What back size are you? Some very generous of nork women really realy find the experience happy and positive.

Rigby and Peller has an excellent bra fitting service. I came out of there so comfortable and looking quite a few pounds lighter.

They can be quite expensive. Make sure you stipulate a price range though otherwise you will have a shock when you get to the till. The don't really mention prices unless you specifically ask them. The last one I got was about £80 quid. It was a balconette for a wedding and fab. I think their plain everyday bras start at about £30ish.

I went to get some nice undies for my wedding day. It is very expensive but it was fab.

The bra size they had me in was wildly different to anything I'd worn before (and not very easy to find in cheaper shops) but fitted a treat.

I just want plain bras to wear under everyday jersey tops, so no lace.
The ones I wear now cost about £28 so £30 ish sounds ok.

they will just offer you something plain by fantasie, which you can get in most dept strores anyway, they don't do many plain bras, they can't make enough money on them!!

Been to both them and Bravissimo and prefer Bravissimo, much bigger range of makes. They used to sell R&P stuff in Bravissimo but they don't these days.

They show you how to 'drop' your boobs into the bra too! instead of the stuffing them in which i have always done

I could not recommend R & P enough. It wsa a complete revelation. I know one OP is sceptical abot wearing a tighter back measurement cos siome shop girl told her to, but I really do think in this case the shop grl knows what shes doing.

All my clothes etc fit better since I figured out what a proper bra on me is supposed to look like. And you get used to it..the bras break in etc

Oh with the whole tight back thing - I would say "firm and in place" rather than tight iyswim.

you will lose a stone in weight just by hoiking your boobs up to the right place.

they are not pointy but they are in a higher place, your clothes will fit better and you will get your waist back

R&P is so tempting, but do they really just specialise in large norks? would there be any point anyone like me going for a 32 B/C? ( ??? marks as always come out with different sizes at M&S!)
