Bear in mind I am recovering from a broken foot and my Crocs are so comfortable, would it be totally WRONG to wear these to work?

how unacceptable on a scale of 1 to 10 - 1 = laughably horrific, 10 = a neat and stylish way to accommodate permanently aching foot?

PoorOldEnid Tue 09-Sep-08 11:03:11

am I minging?

ahundredtimes Tue 09-Sep-08 11:06:45

A 2?

But that doesn't mean you shouldn't wear them to work. They look like medical shoes. They are medical shoes.

Will a ballet slipper type thing not work?

PoorOldEnid Tue 09-Sep-08 11:07:52

no they are not comfortable even with insoles sad

PoorOldEnid Tue 09-Sep-08 11:08:25

do the ballet crocs look medical?

Yes, they look medical. Highly greyly medical.

Vans? Or similar slip-on gym shoe type thing. Actually that might look a bit mad.

PoorOldEnid Tue 09-Sep-08 11:15:44

I have lots of slip on type shoes but they are not comfortable yet

I have bought them anyway, they are bloody comfortable as they are all moulded inside so it supports your meta thingy watsit thing.

Bone consultant v approving of Crocs generally.

9 months till it gets compltely better apparently [fury]

how am I going to get through xmas with no stilettoes shock

Nbg Tue 09-Sep-08 11:16:55

I have seen those Crocs on and they dont look bad at all.

jellybeans Tue 09-Sep-08 11:17:31

Wear the Crocs!

ahundredtimes Tue 09-Sep-08 11:17:40

Comfort more important than anything.

Do they come in another colour than the medical grey? That's why the consultant was so approving, he thinks Osteo shoes fashionable. He thinks white coats a good look. They're all like this.

hoh yes cod, it was completely fracked. Broken in three places.

Still, all bones have healed nicely but there are still a few hairline cracks, I have to walk on it as much as poss to encourage bone to grow.

having test for oestoporosis thing next week

andiem Tue 09-Sep-08 11:19:57

having worked with many docs I would not take fashion advice from them

they are ugly but not as bad as traditonal crocs

we will let you as long as you don't buy some of those minging furry ones

PoorOldEnid Tue 09-Sep-08 11:20:27

i was joking about the biros

he was called Dr Lovely.

Oliveoil Tue 09-Sep-08 11:20:54

can you get to monsoon and get some lovely vevet slip on things and shove some old biddy insoles in (I think you were going to get Boots one?)

oh dear at 9 months sad

PoorOldEnid Tue 09-Sep-08 11:22:08

the insoles are shite

cost £21 and make hardly any difference

Nbg Tue 09-Sep-08 11:22:46

Woman that wears them at dds school wears them with everything.

I actually thought they were just plain ballet pumps.
She also has the grey colour.

I hope your foot gets better soon!

MikeRotch Tue 09-Sep-08 11:22:59
