Can we agree that liquid lipsticks are generally shit

I've never found one I like they're either horribly drying or so gloopy they end up all over your face.
In spite of this knowledge why do I keep buying them? Confused

YANBU. I think matte liquid lipsticks only look good on people whose lips are plumped up with fillers. It's not a coincidence that Kylie Jenner popularised the look. Anyone with normal lip crinkles will look shit.

Actually the only lippy I use is max factor ones that have a separate balm. They last all day (depending on how much eating you do) and not too drying or lip staining either. However, needs to be taken off with waterproof remover.
I'm too lazy to reapply all day so put it on in the morning and I'm sorted Wink

I won't be using them. Meh

I’m all for buying from high street but to be honest all the ones I’ve found have been rubbish

I swear by Huda ones and the nars ones are very nice and fluid

I disagree Kat Von D liquid lipstick is great.

Kevyn Aucoin Molten Lip - it’s amazing, not drying just perfect.

Agree OP- they are rubbish. Much prefer a normal matte formulation.

I disagree, maybelline 24h stay lip colour is the only one to last for me.
It is drying but it has a balm.

Nooo. There are so many good ones out there.

Only if we also agree that traditional lipsticks have to be reapplied nine million times a day and are a complete PITA. Liquid lipsticks were a revelation for me.

Some are crap but Huda, Kat Von D, Urban decay are all great

I like NYX soft matte lip cream

The maybelline one stays in place for an entire work day and doesn't end up on my face or my teeth. It's a revelation. Not expensive either. It is a little drying but I use balm too.

I have a kat von D one too. It's good, but I think the maybelline one is better.

I like collection metallic ones. They dry fast and stay put. And lime crime ones are unshiftable.

NYX matte lip lingerie is the bomb - it goes on at 7am and when I'm taking my makeup off at 10pm, there are still traces of it.

A lot of drugstore ones are rubbish. I like jeffree star velour liquid lip.

Love the maybelline 24 hour one too. Unless I'm with my boyfriend, kissing with that on seems to make my lips dry and cracked.
Had lips tattooed after Christmas, 160 all in with top up, couldn't be happier now use a bit of lip balm.
Boyfriend said last week, "you look as pretty when we wake up as when we go to bed".

Can anyone recommend a natural, appropriate for work shade from the Mabelline one? I love it but the colour I chose was too bold
