Can we please talk about whether or not these trainers are, as my dh just said, 'a bit Edina Monsoon'? Or do they veer into Sketchers territory?

I own silver trainers. They're more deck shoe than these and I find them a great way to wear trainers in a slightly smarter way. However I am aware that where I am from they are standard posh mum uniform and there's a section if he population who think I look like a dickhead. I don't care.

I have these. They are incredibly comfy (had to go up half a size though). I’ve had to reach a state of ‘don’t-give-a-shit’ about my footwear choices though.

I'm very partial to a bit of gold on my trainers so I say go for it with these silver ones.

Wow, ok. I had expected a universal thumbs down. If I keep them I might have to get better at not giving a shit and being ok with looking like a dickhead. Xmas Grin
They looked so great in the photo - like the perfect compromise between trainer and brogues - but now I've got them I'm not sure.

I have been looking at silver trainers for some time. I edged into it with some low key silver satin vans in the summer but have not made the big step to actual trainers. I did buy myself some bright red airmax, as a homage to my 'rave' years but I did end up taking them back as they were more mid life crisis than trendy mum. The silver trainers in the pic look quite low key so I'd go for it. Edina..... Love that 😂😂😂😂

BBOA yes, it's a bit tricky isn't it, revisiting the sportswear of your youth? Superstars (my most recent favourite trainer) now feel a bit tired but I just can't do a dad trainer, I would look like Jerry Seinfeld.
I don't mind being a little bit Eddy, but there is a line and I'd like to be on the right side of it.

I have these trainers. They are my go to travelling shoes. I eweat them with either skinny jeans or black wide leg trousers depending on how I feel. They are very comfy.

The look a bit spice girls to me tbh.
