Judging by the big bag of out of date products I've chucked out tonight I obviously don't.

A couple of years ago I decided to cut down on the chemicals I put on my as these weren't natural...I just never used them

Not a lover of larding stuff on me after a bath.

I make my own face cream which is natural so would just use that.

So...are you like me..or do you use it?

hollieberrie Sat 26-Mar-16 23:40:36

Nope never ever. I just put a squirt of hand cream on before bed and that's it. I always re-gift any body lotions I receive wink

Erm, no

TBH, I don't need it.
I use face-neck cream, handcream, footcream.
Legs if I'm doing a fake tan.
But my belly, arms, back, bum are ok without.
I use a moisturising shower gel though.

Yes! Every day for 35 years. I do it so religiously I couldn't even tell you whether I actually need to grin

Behooven Sat 26-Mar-16 23:47:17

Yes, me, every day after my shower.

ShebaQueen Sat 26-Mar-16 23:52:32

Me, after every bath or shower. I would be a shrivelled crisp without it.

NoahVale Sat 26-Mar-16 23:53:03

yes particularly in the summer, on my arms and legs

CointreauVersial Sat 26-Mar-16 23:54:59

I use it on my legs and arms in the summer, but not every day.

I too have a massive stockpile of unopened bottles of it.

imwithspud Sat 26-Mar-16 23:55:14

I've never finished a whole bottle. I'll get one as part of a gift, use it a couple of times and then I can't be bothered so it just gets left in the cupboard for months/years until I eventually throw it out.

eyestightshut Sat 26-Mar-16 23:57:26

Meh. Your first word says it all.
I use it every single day. My skin feels and looks fabulous.

freshprincess Sat 26-Mar-16 23:57:27

Every day. I have lots of dry skin on my legs and they get horrible and itchy if I don't.
And handcream, I use gallons of the stuff.
Prefer body butter to lotion though.

Twice a day.

Patapouf Sun 27-Mar-16 00:05:07

Only when I can be bothered, which is rarely. I don't like feeling like a greased potato and the scent interferes with my perfume. There is never a good time to apply it either, if I do it right before bed it makes my sheets gross and before getting dressed it makes my clothes stick to me <bleurgh>

madmotherof2 Sun 27-Mar-16 00:07:51

The fact I've got a stack of dusty body shop body butters on my dressing table probably answers your question...

I love the idea of doing it, but like a previous poster, I can never work out the best time!

ChocolateEggGnawingMachine Sun 27-Mar-16 00:08:27

Yes, but I only started about a year ago when I read (on MN) that certain ingredients in lotion could calm the effects of Keratosis Pilaris (chicken skin), my arms & legs are now much smoother.

TendonQueen Sun 27-Mar-16 00:08:27

No. Have tons of those bottles that you always get as part of gift sets. Every so often I give it a go but after two days I forget.

imwithspud Sun 27-Mar-16 00:21:15

I agree about the feeling sticky/greasy. Not sure if it's because I use too much of what, but that's probably another reason why I 'forget' after a day or two.

Just seems like so much faff. It doesn't seem to benefit my skin in any way what so ever. Glad it works for some people though.

Judydreamsofhorses Sun 27-Mar-16 00:22:01

Every morning after a shower, then usually again before bed. I think it's just about routine - my mum always did so I started in my teens.

PerspicaciaTick Sun 27-Mar-16 00:26:29

It is becoming a necessity. I made it all the way to the age of 40 without needing it at all. Post-second baby aging (grey hair, dry skin) made me experiment with it occasionally. Now perimenopause seems to be mean that my skin is downright crispy and body lotion makes it feel much more comfortable.
However, I am very fussy about what feels nice. I can't stand highly scented or sticky.

ScarletForYa Sun 27-Mar-16 00:28:44

No way. It's too cold.

Tartyflette Sun 27-Mar-16 00:34:17

I swim nearly every day and have dry skin too so I really need to use it. It makes a big difference to the look and feel of my skin, especially on the arms and legs. But for those of us who do use it, what's the best way to put it in your back?? (There always seems to be a few bits I just can't reach) please don't say get your DH to do it -- he wouldn't be welcome in the ladies changing room at the pool!

MargotLovedTom Sun 27-Mar-16 00:34:57

I like doing the Nivea one in the shower. Gets it all over and done with.

YaySirNaySir Sun 27-Mar-16 00:36:52

Yes I use the one that matches my perfumes in a set, but not every day probably a few times a week. My skin isn't dry except a bit on my hands which I put Vaseline on before bed.

GiddyOnZackHunt Sun 27-Mar-16 00:38:09

Only on my feet. I get weird hot feet at night and body lotion on my feet cools them enough for me to sleep.

Notfootball Sun 27-Mar-16 03:20:33

Yes, every day. Mum did it for me when I was little and I just carried on. I have soft skin, people remark on it.
