What are your staples?

I like to wash my face and use Simple age resisting facial wash.
Boots Time Delay moisturiser and eye cream

That's it.

I use the rose Super Facialist cream cleanser followed by Nivea q10 moisturiser (or an oil of Olay one in the summer) and Lush eye cream.

I don't have the inclination to make time to do more than that tbh. My skin looks ok as I've used sun protection since I was early 20s and the only spots I get are hormonal cystic ance buggers. I have had to use a richer moisturiser in the winter for the last 2-3 years but I'm 43 so my skin is slowly getting drier.

In the morning I cleanse with my Magnitone brush and any old facial wash.
Tone with pixi glow and moisturise with Eucerin hylauron cream.
Evening I cleanse with garnier micellar water and use boots botanics anti ageing facial oil.

Fairly low maintenance.

I just use Bioderma water to cleanse and a moisturiser with spf. I used to do loads but can't be arsed these days and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I just bought that Aldi caviar spf 15 moisturiser today so I'm hoping it's lush.

I wash my face with water. If I'm in the bath then the water also has whichever bubble bath or bath soak is to hand in it. Don't think you could get much more simple than that. Grin

Does no one wash their face any more?

Some of these 'simple' routines are my idea of an intensive regime. Water & a light, natural moisturiser in the morning

I use Boots Traditional skin care; Cold cream with hot flannel to remove make up, Rose & Glycerin toner and the basic moisturiser. Only recently saw them recommended but thrilled with the results. And only £5 for all 3!

My skin doesn't like too many products either (one reason I posted a thread about having rubbish skin the other day!). I know it prefers the less is more approach but I'm a sucker for trying new things which I must resist doing! My go-to cleanser is Avene Extremely Gentle and my skin is quite reactive so I always have one in the drawer but I really should stick to this and not try anything else!!

Moisturisers I like are Liz Earle light for day and Superskin for night.

Since I started my thread last week I have stuck rigidly to these products plus effaclar duo on my t zone to sort out the spots. Within a couple of days my skin was practically clear so I need to stick with this pared down routine because it seems to be a combination my skin likes.
No exfoliators or masks.

Years ago I bought Perfect Skin by Janet Filderman (I still have it) and she basically says double cleanse, and moisturise only if and where you need it. No toners, masks or exfoliators. I'm sure if I'd followed her advice the whole time I've had the book I wouldn't have had the problems I have had. But I'm my own worst enemy........no more though!!

I wash my face with water

Then put REN beauty shot (serum with hyaluronic acid) on it.

Then moisturiser (currently Dr Haushka lotion)

Tadah

Some days I use REN glycolactic mask, that's good

But that already feels like a lot.

I never "cleanse" or "tone" Shock

I wash with the same face wash I've used for 20 years. If my make up hasn't shifted I use a wipe to get the rest off.

Then moisturise.

Oooh I couldn't get on with that mask at all - it's like marmalade!

I use Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser to remove any make up, if I'm wearing any. Other than that just Clinique extra mild facial soap and water, followed by Liz Earle moisturiser. Suits my skin perfectly, tried all lotions and potions over the years, usually causing breakouts. Simple is best for me.

Wash in the shower in the morning, Dermologica special cleansing gel, followed by Bioderma Hydrabio Serum (and their moisturiser if it's cold outside). Make up removed in the evening with any old cleansing oil that's on offer, tissued off with Bioderma Crealine. Night cream, when I remember: currently a REN one from M&S.

Those of you that only use water to clean your face, do you do the same for your body also - no shower gel, bubble bath or soap?
Presumably you do not wear make-up as water would not remove it.

Yes, simple face care routine here. Skin was not good when I was using multiple products, sensitive and breaking out so I went back to basics.

I use these morning and evening. Skin good now, clear and soft and apparently I look at least five years younger than I am so I'm sticking with it Smile. Not expensive stuff either. I wouldn't go back to any of the pricey stuff I used before.

Me too. Simple wipes, superdrug serum and Olay day cream. Just works for me.

No I don't wear make up.

I stick some bath gel or the kids bubbles in the bath and wash sweaty areas when washing my hair.

Me. My face doesn't feel clean unless I wash it so I use Simple Moisturising Face Wash and Simple Rich Moisturiser twice a day. If I have no face wash I just use soap.

I think expensive skin care and serums etc are a waste of money.

Coconuts you sound just like me! I used to use that Avene cleanser, their spray and recovery cream but my skin was irritated and uncomfortable I'm wondering if it was the spray and cream rather than the cleanser? The Liz Earle creams are fragranced doesn't that set ur skin off?? Ur tempting me here cos my skin is pants at the mo

When i said simple routine I didn't necessarily mean cheap I just meant only 2-3 products-I haven't yet found any cheap products my skin doesn't react to :(

Wash face with flannel and warm water twice a day.

Boots Vit E moisturiser after that. (Dead cheap, very light).

Used to have terrible spotty skin, much better since I stopped doing anything to it or putting anything much on it.
