What are your staples?

I use Garnier Soft cleanser and then Nivea Q10 moisturiser. These are the only two products I've ever found that don't make my skin sore and stop it being dry. I bulk buy them. Just luck that they're cheap.
Once every couple of weeks I use a Superdrug clay mask on nose to get rid of blackheads.

Morning:
Wash face in shower with Angel's On Bare Skin (which is from Lush).
Moisturise - at the moment using DH's S&G's men's razor relief one, planning to order a Cetaphil one asap though!
Body Shop's Vitamin E eye cube around eyes.
Body Shop's Tea tree oil on big/sore spots.

I very rarely wear makeup other than concealer and powder.

Evening:
Remove makeup with Mixa's micellar water.
Re-apply tea tree oil to big/sore spots.

That's it. But my skin is still crap (acne, sensitive skin, and seb derm) so I am frequently adjusting. Sad

I use lush angels on bare skin cleanser, body shop vitamin e serum in oil and intense moisturiser.

I have pcos so my skin isn't brilliant anyway, it's also dry and dehydrated so the less I do to it the better.

Simple cleansing wipes or just water in shower and no7 protect and perfect serum. That's it. I can't understand the obsession with loads of products. Just wear minimal make up, stay out the sun and drink lots of waster and your skin will look wonderful

I'm a dermalogica user too! Although it's not cheap if u buy the large sizes online it works out about same (sometimes cheaper) than high st stuff.

Mine is simple but not cheap. Dermalogica cleanser with daily gentle exfoliant every other day, Dermalogica toner and then Intensive Moisture Balance. I put on either a foundation or BB cream with SPF. I have been trying to use serum or rosehip oil as a serum now I'm in my 40s. I've used the Dermalogica products (the first basic range) since I was 21, I'm now late 40s and my skin is good, the other day I was told I looked 28. Simple is best.

Morning: Cetaphil cleanser in shower, Vitamin E Cream Intense.
Evening: cleansing balm, Vitamin E Intense, with Advanced Night Repair when I can afford it.

I use a micellar water to get the makeup off (currently the garnier one) followed by a mildly exfoliating face wash or my skin looks drab and grey (currently a travel size from origins). If I've not worn make up the the first step is skipped. And finally an oil free moisturiser (currently one from h2o that came free in an offer from marks about a year ago - something like spend 50 get a box of beauty goodies).

I do use a serum occasionally. But that'll be because I got a free sample. The last one I had was from lancome and I got it one of those buy 2 items get a bag of samples offers.

When I wear make up (approx twice a week) I remove it with a baby wipe. I wash face in water and use an Aldi moisturiser. My skin is the best it's ever been, it's very sensitive and too mushy products make it worse.

Jo to highlight in bold type the name or word in between without any spaces, so name * without the gaps.

I wish there were more travel/sample sizes available. My mum hasn't bought a moisturiser in years, she gets my hand me downs! Mum uses soap and water and any old moisturiser and her skin is fab, she's 76 this year but no wrinkles.

I really like Nivea's Sensitive Day Cream at the cheaper end of the scale. I can't use the normal stuff but that one is lovely. It's in a tube, comes in a box.

Loving these replies!

Coconuts (how do you get the name highlighted??) that's exactly the same with me too! There's no pattern to what I can/can't use and that's when it becomes most difficult!! Also when I react to something from a brand I tend to discard the whole range without thinking that their moist or cleanser etc could be "the one" I just get put off by one incident which then rules out the whole brand (that's why I'm running out of choices lol) I need to find what works for me! I think I'm happy with my ultracalming cleanser but I really need a moisturiser that agrees with me and my skin is very fussy and difficult!

I rinse my face once per day with warm water (in the shower). If I have been wearing makeup I'll use a bit of Dove soap and Body Shop cammomile eyemakeup remover. Once a week I borrow my dd's face scrub. I use Body Shop aloe vera moisturiser or Nivea Soft in the tube every day and a bit of Roc eye cream under the eyes.

Jo the LE Superskin comes unfragranced if that's an issue. I'm currently using the one with Neroli which is avoided because of the scent but I knew if I did react the LE counter in John Lewis would swap it. It doesn't irritate at all!!! I think that's one of my problems, there's no rhyme or reason to what I can/can't use! But when I tried the Avene Gel cleanser at the weekend it stung like mad. So I'm sticking with the extremely gentle one instead.

In the morning I use palmers foaming cleanser and rinse with hot water/flannel then slather on astral. In the evening I use the palmers but also st Ives sensitive apricot scrub again lots of astral. I've tried so many moisturisers but keep coming back to astral.

I wash my face in the shower every morning with whatever Lush soap I happen to be using. Occasionally gets a scrub (like Lush's Rub Rub Rub one). Then I put on some moisturiser - whatever I happen to have been given for Christmas, or Lush Skin Drink or Dream Cream.
When I can be bothered to wear proper make up (well, anything more than mascara and lip balm), I'll take it off in the evening with cleanser. Don't bother cleansing or washing my face in the evening otherwise.
Have pretty youthful skin for someone approaching 40.Wink wish I could say the same about the rest of me

Whoops. It's eve lom cleanser...

Pretty simple here. Eve lim cleanser at night then sometimes oil (eg neals yard frankincense is good) but sometimes I put nothing on my skin at night.

Don't cleanse in the morning just rinse skin with water. Then moisturiZer - I love Creme de la mer even if pricey it makes a huge difference to my skin.

That's it. No toners, exfoliaters etc.

Remover make-up and cleanse, that should read Smile

Report

I use my Clinique extra mild facial soup as a cleanser & to remove my make-up not sure if that's it's intended use. If there's any make-up visible on the towel when I dry, I repeat (double cleanse) then moisturise with Clinique dramatically different moisturiser. I love it, it's the only one I've ever used that has worked for me. If I'm not too tired, I'll then use a serum (I've got Cliniques latest one) on my eyes, chin & problem areas. Then off to bed I go.

Morning routine - after shower, I'll use the Clinique 7-day scrub followed by the (same) moisturiser, leaving 5-10 minutes or so before I apply make-up (if I'm wearing any).

Works for me, but sometimes I get lazy & don't bother with scrubs, serums & moisturiser. I do always remove make-up cleanse, though.
