Sorry I know it's done to death - bb, cc, tinted moisturisers with high SPF

Any recommendations? Don't want to faff with foundation on holiday, but need a bit of coverage for sun spots and redness. And one that isn't difficult to blend, just slap and go type affair. I'm quite pale ( wear warm sand in Bobbi brown foundation )and don't want a fake tan look. Any recommendations gratefully received thanks!

origins cc cream is fab. maybe a bit ££ but comes in a light colour and no preservatives/parabens type ingredients

Alisvolatpropiis · 13/07/2014 12:05

Clinique CC Cream is SPF 30. I'm very pale too and even the palest shade takes some blending. Worth it though.

singaporeswing · 13/07/2014 12:07

Laura Mercier, I love it. Quite a few pale options too.

nyldn · 13/07/2014 12:16

boots botanics light is really great and I'm very fair. spf 30 as well. on offer for £5.99 now!

polyhymnia · 13/07/2014 12:50

Another vote for Laura Mercier.

Cranagh · 13/07/2014 13:04

Guerlain Joli Teint is great.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 13/07/2014 13:10

at the bargain end of the scale, i have just noticed garnier 50 spf bb cream, about 8 quid in superdrug.

LordEmsworth · 13/07/2014 13:14

I like Bobbi Brown BB cream, but I like the CC cream even more. For work I wear under foundation, it evens everything out to give a perfect base. At weekends I wear it on its own and it looks lovely

turkeyboots · 13/07/2014 13:22

Garnier BB cream is very orange. I like Loreal Skin perfect BB cream. Has good spf and fair is very pale.

justcallmethefixer · 13/07/2014 13:34

I have a garnier 30spf bb cream and agree with a pp it can be a little orange. It's not so bad now I have a little colour but I'm not convinced by its SPF as I have to be wary about how much I use

stephenisjustcoming · 13/07/2014 13:45

The Bourjois CC cream is v good, esp for paler skin tones, and just under a tenner.

Littleturkish · 13/07/2014 14:20

I love smashbox bb cream

slug · 13/07/2014 15:17

I've just started using Kiehl's ultra facial moisturiser with SPF 30 which I'm getting on OK with. For a bit of coverage I use Dr Jart Premium BB cream which is not cheap but lasts for ages and works with my pale Celt complexion

newpup · 13/07/2014 15:56

Another vote for Clinique CC cream here, I am pale too, it evens skin tone and is nice and light also SPF 30.

Brillenbar · 13/07/2014 16:52

Thank you so much for all the responses.

The Bobbi brown cc cream seems to come only in 3 shades, does it actually manage to correct colour without making you look the colour of the cream?

Avon cc cream. SPF 50 and their paler shades are fab, use Ivory myself and it's a brilliant match

LordEmsworth · 13/07/2014 21:26

The Bobbi Brown CC cream... I thought I was going to hate it, I was shopping for eye shadow but asked her for some foundation first and she told me about the CC cream. I am quite pale but go red easily - I am warm sand, too - and she put the middle one on me, warm nude. It's very sheer and I only use a little; it sort of blends with my skin tones, so it lifts my colouring and evens out where it's a bit patchy. So it doesn't go the colour in the tube, but it's not quite exactly my natural colour. It looks extremely natural though...

If you're going to be out in the sun for a long time, then I'd really recommend that you get a separate SPF as the SPF in makeup generally is quite low.

On top of that, we don't generally use enough of the makeup products to get the correct sun protection, and we need to re-apply the SPF every 2 hours or so, which we usually don't do with foundation/tinted moisturiser/BB/CC creams.

I like Estee Lauder Daywear BB cream, which has SPF 35: www.esteelauder.co.uk/product/688/20671/Product-Catalog/Skincare/By-Category/Moisturisers/Daywear-BB/Anti-Oxidant-Beauty-Benefit-Creme/index.tmpl
It doesn't have a lot of coverage, but just evens out the skin. It lasts well all day and looks great.

I use it with Clinique City Block underneath.
