Can't undo any more pairs of jeans!

Just a really quick question - it's a bit of a faff for me to get to a TS- Do the sizings come up very small? I'm thinking their size 16 may be another stores 12 etc.

I thought the sizing was pretty average for the high st

compo · 30/03/2006 14:48

Next sixe 14 fit me fine. Topshop size 14 too small if that helps!!

MeggLeVache · 30/03/2006 14:48

Thanks.
I have found that Next Wallis and Dp come up huge compared to some others.

Which is why I asked really - good to hear they're not too weeny then.

i was a generous 16 when pg with dd, & wore ts maternity clothes to the end. mostly tops. i had a pair of under the bump jeans which didn't fit at any point though, mostly too big, then too small, be warned! i work v. close to the topshop at oxford circus, & they have a separate maternity shop now - some of the dresses are fantastic.

compo · 30/03/2006 14:50

I find all the under the bump trousers to show off my bum if I bend down!!

MeggLeVache · 30/03/2006 14:56

Yeh I must be a strange shape as the under bump stuff used to just fall down on me and it was not too small for me. have looked online at their range and there are a couple of things I like. I'm quite excited that it may even fit.
Is there anything in particular that is very good?

Like the polka dot top and the kimono blouse they have but fear both would make me look like a barrage balloon!

HoxtonChick that is so lovely of you. I'd love some dresses but am quite big nork wise so will steer away from high necks and pussycat bows which will just make me look hideous Grin

you can order the maternity range online if its a pain for you to go to the store? i found the size 16 maternity trousers on the small side, i was a 12-14 before i got pregnant, and when i was 4 months i needed a 16 in their mat size trousers, they advise getting your usual size but that would have been too small for me, the trousers i had were great though, really comfy and didnt look like they were mat trousers.

lanismum · 30/03/2006 15:03

sorry, just seen you already know you can get it online, dur Blush

hmmm, no dresses on the website.... they had a good black one with white polka dots, v-neck with a ruffle round the neck, & a nice white one with a green & black pattern. both quite short so you might want to wear them over trousers.

MeggLeVache · 30/03/2006 20:32

Are you questioning the shape of my lovely pins HC? Grin

Will def be going to find out what else they have instore.
Thanks

I loved the Topshop maternity range when I was pg last year, I actually felt human! I had a great dress from there, it was so comfy; no waistbands above or below the bump which helped! Can't remember the sizing though sorry!
