Inspired by discussion on 'is it crazy to buy a new pushchair for my 3yr old', this is a place for buggy obsessives big and small (the buggies, that is) to chat.

So, what r the signs for u that u r obsessed? What would the perfect buggy be?

Good to c u here shelagh! Yes I see, what u r doing with that combo. However I am so attached to my out n about nipper for sturdiness, ease of push, and sheer workhorse qualities. Plus big wheels for bumping down tenement stairs, and one piece fold.
Want a very light parent facing one in an ideal world. Bee, yoyo, micralite...

My friends think I have a rather unhealthy obsession with buggies but it seems perfectly reasonable and acceptable in my head

I'm a cm and at the top of my list of requirements is that it has to fit in my minuscule boot space. It has been an almighty challenge but I have finally settled on a BJCS and an Easywalker Mini. I am very tempted by the new Mosey but amextremelytightso will wait for a secondhand one or a super-special deal.

Joining!!!! I remember the shed a couple years ago, cost me a fortune too and now we have baby no3 aged 9 months....... He's my last for sure, feels settled and right now he's here and it's my final buggy buying couple of years..... Currently trying to kick a love for phil n teds but obvs not working as just ordered the new dot v2 with it's larger seat...... Don't really need a double but last week dd2 (summer born just turned four then started rec) was exhausted ( we walk all sch runs).... I would hav let her get in for two pins had I had a teds with me! Of course both dd's walk scoot and pedal to school 99%, of time no prob but with three dc I just like to have that prepared for anything feeling......also in the week a single mainly fine but at weekends the dd's, dh and the baby all seem to try and shove coats and hats in the buggy the second we get in any where...... And it's chaos, the doubles kit will be handy for that....hence the dot v2 is en route :-) am excited to try the doubles kit parent facing also.

Oh yes I will confess on here to 8 buggies since ds1 arrived end jan this year! Oh dear. I'm sure some friends think me crackers but I love the quest for the best buggy.....currently using the new bee3, it's ok but agree with comments on other posts about the still fiddly seat switch around.....not too bad for me as don't tend to bother that often, feels a bit too pricey now for what it is ...that said, the new sturdier chassis is superb, hood extend brilliant, fabrics lovely and quality is very very good indeed., it will last but may feel too good to just leave in car all the time while the teds does school runs! I have some health issues with arms/wrists so lightweight for car boot is handy, actually due an op next month to help with said issues so no driving for a little bit so am glad will have a phil and teds then.
I am also intrigued by ... Babyzen yoyo and have never had a maclaren (quest) so am tempted to sell bee3, buy a quest for car and pocket the difference, would I regret that? Ds is huge btw, I think will b tall also, not sure if bee would last until much more than 2.

Ahhh miaow me too love the shine!!! My dc 3 tho is already doing that back archy thing at times when needs to go in buggy and he's only 9months and also cruising about so I may have an early walker/runner climber on my hands!!!! Def need get the buggy usage in over nxt 12 months before he's too big!!!

Oh yes cup of meant to say, bee is fab , I have had a micralite toro and the other one they do, but the bulky fold ended up annoying me in the end and making me get rid, fills the boot and we have huge people carrier, eg no good if lots shopping also or suitcases, lovely to push though and recently dc3 had been very comfy in the toro seat , leg support is fab, their wheeled board also best I've ever used, and clips up brilliantly and quick when not in use, but..... The wider front wheels do get a bit irritating and I did use to clip things in shops etc when I thought I would have fitted through !!

I am one click away from ordering the mosey. Do I need it? No. Do I want it! Oh yes! Currently have a bee+ and versa after going through at least 10 buggies since the start of the year for ds2 as none of them were perfect but the mosey might just be. Trying to justify spending the money as I have always bought second hand but its calling me and also I am fed up of having to alternate between buggies depending on where I am going. Might be a mosey owner by the end of the day!

If you're going to get one do it now! Dd2 is 2y8m and it's killing me I can't get one, I'm pretty sure it's perfect for pretty much everything.

I must stop googling the Mosey!!! Is there a reason the Mini is £600+ and the mosey is £439? I'm quite tempted now...as long as I get a good price for the mini. Or I would be quite happy with the Mosey hood on my mini but they don't seem to sell the hood as an extra.

Nwilson I hate that alternating between buggies thing..... Have a feeling I will be back to that when I have new p and t's in the hall and the bugaboo bee is lounging in the boot of the car... We do a lot of walking so makes sense to have the p and t in house but also useful to have a lightweight in the car..... I thought my bee3 would do best of both, but..... Although It is fab and feels much sturdier chassis than bee or bee+ It is still a lightweight buggy and in recent high wind and rain it would have blown away if I wasn't hanging on, feels as though wouldn't be quite protective enough if we ever get any really cold snowy weather/icy paths, it is brilliant in town though! And I can lift it in and out the car easily....
can't think what is the best for both worlds really! Maybe the dot will be the one, it is dinky but very sturdy and folds fairly small for a heavier buggy, aiming to complement it with a mac quest and see how that goes before parting with bee3 though.,
had a weekend away with dh and kids and the bee filled half the boot with its flat fold ifykwim.... Umbrella fold def more sensible for a leave in the boot buggy, would take up less space....

Why is there not one buggy that can do it all?! That's a shame to hear the downsides to the micralite. I do think it looks a bit ugly as well. Something like a quest but with enormous back wheels? And the njoy bubbles' reversible seat.

I loved my micralite (until the Mini arrived )!! I had one for ds when the original Fastfold came out then bought one a couple of years ago for cming. There are 76 steps up to our primary school and the big back wheels make it marginally easier to get up to!!!

So I have succumbed to temptation and have ordered the Easywalker Mosey so I can see what it's like and I should get it by Tuesday. Hoping it lives up to expectations and I will have found the perfect pushchair. I can then give up my bee (maybe) and the versa. Will let you know if it's as good as it sounds.

I'm close to ordering...might check completed listings on ebyto see what I might get for the mini...

Selling the bee and versa will more than cover the cost of the mosey (I might have mentioned I can justify almost any buggy purchase).

Nwilson have you bought unseen? I would love a mosey but having been in contact with the manufacturer and stockist (current and future) I have no chance of trying one out before baby is due at end of December. I don't have an alternative yet! Where have you ordered from?

Looks like my last message didn't post. Hiccup and Sweet I've ordered from Glasgow Pram Centre as I live in Scotland and yes I've bought unseen as they don't have it in store only online but they said I can return it (if it turns out it's not for me). I also checked with my local Mamas and Papas who Easywalker said were a stockist but they know nothing about it.

I have justified it to myself by thinking I could sell the bee and versa for around the same price and just have one main pushchair - I do have a maclaren quest as well for quick trips.

Hopefully it will be here by Tues and I will try to post photos of what it is like compared to my other buggies.

Thanks nwilson. I haven't spoken to GPC. I spoke to Lester's who will be stocking (but they don't know when) and they wouldn't allow me to return it if I didn't like it. What colour did you go for? I'm going to need the carrycot too and a car seat. Haven't even started to look at car seats yet...

Exciting nWilson, hope it works well, and end up with perfect fits all buggy, wondering if my new dot may achieve that, keeping bee3 for now though as even though would sell well I wouldn't be able to replace it if I missed it once gone, ....any of you buggy fans happen to have slight buggy accessories/change bag thing also??!!

knew I wouldn't be the only one and know what you mean about ebaying the excess!! I have recent habit of buying the matching brand bag to the buggy but dangerous as I swap so many buggies then doesn't do to have wrong bag with buggy!!., weird as I am not remotely this anal about matchy matching in any other aspect!
