First Wheel City Twin

I've due my second in October and looking to buy a second hand double pram. I really like the look and features of the first wheels city twin but keep reading mixed reviews of whether it will get through doorways or not. I think the new model is too wide so I'm going for the 2nd hand e-bay option but before I bite the bullet I wondered if anyone had one and could give me some feedback? Any help would be appreciated as I think I'm getting a bit obsessed!!

I had one for my youngest two. Loved it! Fab to push, proper carrycot for baby and they were both facing me. The only door I found that it didn't fit through was my front door but as I stored it in a shed outside, that wasn't a problem.
Bad points: it is bulky when folded - it did fit in our car but took up the whole boot and you had to remove the seats then fold the chassis so slight hassle. Also shopping baskets aren't very big and are awkward to get to.

I sold mine on and got something that folds smaller.

I'm currently on my 8th double buggy (over 3 children) I don't think there is a perfect one that does everything. Good luck though

Thanks - that reassures me. We've got a huge boot on our car so that shouldn't be a problem and I've measured all the doors in the downstairs of our house and at 78cm it should get through them all (I told you i was getting obsessed didn't I!)

I think you're right about there not being the perfect one as I've considered and looked at loads of doubles and they've all got their limtations ( usually that the seat is too small for my tall toddler!

Think I might bit the bullet and start bidding on one on e-bay. Thanks again for your help

i tried one out when ds3 was born. but my 2 yr old didn't fit in the seat and it was a bit flimsy to push

I have one - love it!! BUT - it doesn't fit in our car (mid size, so you may not have that problem) and doesn't fit into a couple of church halls easily (have to ask them every week to open up fire doors). Annoyingly the problem seems to be a little screw that is used to hook the frame together when it's folded.

Not sure I'd recommend it to someone with an older child though as my 15 month old (smallish) twins are growing out of it and I'm looking to change it for something lighter now that they don't need to be walked around for hours a day. Though I think all side-by-side doubles are limited for space.
