Anyone due August 2020?

Hellloooooo,

So I found out I was pregnant today. Very surprised as I was expecting my period (been cramping like mad for the past few days). Last period was on the 9th of Nov (28 day cycle) so I'm around 3 weeks. Very excited but still kind of in shock. I am extremely clueless about pregnancy, and yes, I know google is my friend, but I thought it'd be nice to join this and hopefully share/get advice from other pregnant chicks!

Don't be shy to say hola!

Xmas Smile

According to this I’ll be in the August 2020 mamma club!! 😊 two expensive tests were BFN yesterday and day before, internet cheapy BFP tonight when AF due tomorrow. I’ll see what a morning test says but trying to be optimistic without getting my hopes up too much 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hiya,

My last period was 8th Nov and I got my BFP two days ago! Still doesn’t feel real, this is my first pregnancy so I’m also completely clueless, est due date is 15th Aug! Do you have any symptoms yet?

I'm exactly the same as OP, last period 9th Nov, 28 day cycle, had a bfp yesterday on a clear blue digital. Feels surreal as only started trying in Oct! V lucky. Had mates over for a dinner party last night and I sipped "G"&T's all night, without the G! Don't think anyone clocked it, even tho i'd normally be on the wine with a meal.
Feel very clueless about the whole thing, but have booked in with my GP on 17th Dec.

My last period was also 9th! Positive test yesterday morning and have done a clear blue digital this morning which is showing 1-2 weeks - started ttc in October after 8 years on the mini pill never thought it would happen so quick! Although it was obviously planned in shock as well Grin

Hi so I found out I was pregnant a few days ago. But I’m a bit confused how to calculate the due date as online it says to type in your last period. But do I calculate from my last period I was on or the last period I was supposed to be on but I missed. I’m so new to this. 🙈

My last actual period was 1st-7th November
Missed period 29th-5th November
My cycles usually 28/29 days.

Thank you.

@jennielm that is a definite positive. Very similar to mine yesterday. Did the cheap, strip one from Poundland and had a faint line then did 2 clear blues and both pregnant! Surreal isn't it?!

I'm still cramping randomly but I feel absolutely normal. I wonder when the symptoms will kick in. Any of you girls got any yet?

@heroineinahalfshell the thought of not drinking wine feels a bit strange, especially around this Christmas time but I think I'm just going to buy some non alcoholic white wine so I can feel slightly included. Is it bad that I'm already worrying about all the things I won't have?!

@mimiblack as excited as I am, I'm a bit gutted I can't take advantage of the free bar at our work christmas do on the 20th! Got another Xmas do on the 10th, but luckily it's a lunchtime thing with colleagues who aren't big drinkers, so I should be able to get away with it. With DHs family at xmas (who don't drink) and will tell them then anyway, and then i can fake dry Jan til it's time to reveal all in Feb (🤞🏼). Will have to tell a couple of close friends at new years tho as they know i'm not one to hold bacm on the prosecco!

Am gutted I didn't have a final rare steak/red wine meal, and the no cured meats is making me sad too. Not sad about handing over litter box duties to the DH tho!

Hi all,

I'm 6 weeks today so due on the 2nd aug!

Only found out 2 days ago so very excited!!

I've had a little cramping but also been struggling going to the loo, maybe a little too information but I wanted to know if anyone is struggling? I haven't felt sick or anything but have slept for 12 hrs last night and the night before. Maybe I'm just being lazy now I know haha

@Michette I've been slightly cramping all week (no bleeding) and I've read on the NHS website that it's absolutely normal so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

@heroineinahalfshell last weekend, I had quite a few drinks at Winter Wonderland (maybe more than quite a few lol) so in a way I had my send off. One thing I won't miss is being hungover. I'm seeing my partners family on the 21st for a pre Christmas lunch but they know he doesn't like me drinking so I doubt they'll think anything of it when I don't have a glass of wine. He doesn't want to tell his family just yet until I'm out of the first trimester. I've already told mine... oooops. Just 'pretend to have a drink or two' at your work party if you don't want anyone suspecting.

Nice to see so many August mamas (mamas to be) sharing on here!

Just wondering, why do different websites give you different due dates?

I feel like I trust the NHS website the most but again, I don't think I'm 4 weeks. My last period was the 9th of November - I normally have a 28 day cycle (sometimes 25,26,27), really depends on the month. I know I was ovulating around the 20th - 22nd (slippery down there TMI). So surely I should only be 2 weeks now if that's when conception most likely took place?

Yet the NHS website is saying I'm 4 weeks with a due date of 15th of August 2020.

Confusing Hmm

@Michette I had cramping every day for pretty much two weeks. Thankfully it has stopped now and I haven't had any for a few days apart from the odd twinge here and there. As long as there isn't a lot of blood (obviously apart from spotting which can be completely normal) it's fine it's just your body stretching and getting ready for the baby!

Michette · 08/12/2019 17:26

Thanks for your replies!! Ok i will really need to chill. You are right nothing we can do anyway and also it’s probably normal...

I have booked a 6 week scan privately just to be reassured about everything :)

Such a loooong way to go indeed!

@mimiblack they date the pregnancy from the date of your last period, not conception. I'm exactly like you - last period 9th Nov, ovulated around 21st/22nd Nov, but dated as 4 weeks preggo.

Hi ladies,

Can anyone advise whether they've been in a similar situation: I'm currently a week late, due AF last Sunday. Have tested almost daily with cheap Internet strips and Co tinue to get a BFN.
I have some symptoms like sore boobs, bloating, extreme tiredness...but not sure if this can be just be out down to stress at work and not having had AF yet.

Has anyone gone later than 7 days without a BFP yet still actually been pregnant?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next? DH suggests waiting a week to do another test and then making a doctors appt if we don't see any change.. To me that seems like FOREVER away!!

🙁

Michette · 09/12/2019 14:09

Hi

All you can do is wait for another few days and do another test if af doesn’t arrive by then...

Goos luck!!
