In my pathetic moanings....
DS was awake for 4 hours over night. I've had 3 hours sleep. That is all

I feel your pain! DD is 19 months and was up for hours last night as she has a terrible cough and cold. I am 5 and half months pregnant and totally shattered today and DH looked like death when he got up! DD on the other hand looks likes she's had a great night sleep and is full of beans! Am not looking forward to the new born baby stage again!!!

Hello! 39+2 and in early stages of labour following my show and the odd contraction... but was still up carrying ds to the toilet at 3am and then trying to persuade him that no, he could not go downstairs and watch Thomas the Tank Engine. There is no rest! I'm thinking that labour itself will be the longest opportunity I'll get to lie in a bed Wink

mummy2benji how exciting, good luck with your labour, hope it goes smoothly for you!

Am also exhausted here, DS 19 months has been teething really badly last few nights (typical DH is away, grrr) but last night he slept really well and I was still awake half the night!!! And he's dropped his daytime naps so no chance of a break today.......feeling a bit less sorry for myself now though as I'm only 15wks and not actually in labour!!

Anyone else have a ridiculously jealous DC?? Is worrying me slightly as he gets upset even if I pat the dog Hmm

Yep, also feeling exhausted - 25 weeks and teething 17 month old to deal with. Feel massive and heavy already, really not looking forward to getting any bigger but feel pathetic for feeling so tired at such a relatively early stage. Not sleeping, and also have a horrible cold and can't take anything! Argh. Good luck with your baby mummy2benji - how exciting.

Me too, 35+3 and DS is 2.1, he wouldn't go to sleep until 10pm (started putting him to bed at 7.30!) and was in our bed by 3am, stretched out horizontally with his head propped on Daddy's arm and his feet resting on my head, both of us too scared to move in case we woke him. How am I going to cope with 2?!

I'm 25 weeks with a very active sleep-avoiding cuddly 16 month old who loves to climb and jump all over me and kicks in his sleep. He is very sweet and funny though so I forgive him. Also have two older children who can be a pain in the backside at times but generally font disturb my precious sleep. Am a single parent so every night is my turn for spending hours getting the toddler off to sleep and waking up with him over and over. What I wouldn't give for a full nights sleep!

36 + 3 (c section at 39 weeks) and have a DD of 2.4 who has been very unsettled overnight for the last couple of weeks. Yesterday when she woke up before 5am I got the portable dvd player and put her back in to bed with it. Got an hour of quiet before I had to go downstairs and entertain. Not an example of responsible parenting but couldn't care less!

I must be mad as have decided this week is potty training week!! She started a playschool in Sept for 3 mornings a week and is off for the next 10 days so hopefully we'll get it cracked then. Would be great not to have 2 in nappies but have prepared myself that we could have toddler regression.

36wks today here, with DD who turned 2.5yo yesterday. Am over being pg now. Fed up with not being to bend down, or lift DD or even cuddle her properly. She is really, really easy - hardly ever naughty, sleeps well (was up twice briefly last night though, once because she had 'lost' her pillow & once because she wanted to cuddle Mummy) but I'm finding I'm getting ever more impatient with her, which I feel bad about, purely because I can't physically do all I want to do! Keep hoping its no more than 4wks to go...

Good luck mummy2benji.

Yes! 29 weeks with a 2.6 yr old DS. So pleased he's at preschool 5 mornings a week. And I'm at work 2 days a week -for a rest-. Can't wait for either labour or my CS for a bit of a lie down!

Me too! 23+6 with twins and a very lively 13 month old. She's just gone down for a nap so I'm lying on the bed hoping to have a mini doze before she wakes up, which will probably be in less than 30 mins!

Permaknackered here.

I'm 33 weeks with a 25 month old DS, last night I spent the night in the bathroom throwing up and the world falling out of my ass, plus big cramps that made me older if the baby was on the way.

Managing to drink some water now, so thirsty but couldn't hold it down, then hopefully some sleep. DH taken dy off work.

I'm 33 weeks with a 3-in-January DS. He sleeps pretty well NOW - was a living hell for his first year; couldn't self-settle, needed dummy reinsertion x10 a night, refused to nap in buggy or cot and could only get him to sleep during the day by bundling his increasing bulk into a stretchy sling, jumping up and down and waving jingle bells in his ear. As you can imagine, we were quite the hit in restaurants.

Am praying my next baby is easier. Actually, if he's not, I'll just lock him in a sound-proofed room for an hour or so. ONLY JOKING SOCIAL SERVICES.

But yeah, pretty knackered today due to waking up to go to the loo (again) at 4.30am and being unable to get back to sleep due to worrying about future sleepless nights. Ah, the irony.

mummy2benji Grin at labour being a chance to stay in bed for decent length of time!

I am 35 weeks with 2.5 DD and nearly 8yo DS. Am feeling lazy but also guilty as I am doing less and less outside stuff with the DCs every day. Hoping it will make the start of nursery for DD next week much easier as she'll appreciate the stimulation as am sure she's bored shitless of her rubbish mother

Affrodizzy I had a tummy bug with terrible stomach cramps which if DS hadn't had the same bug I'd have thought I was starting labour. Water isn't the best thing to rehydrate you - I was told something fizzy and clear like Sprite (stirred though so it loses some of its fizzyness). Apparently water just sits in your stomach and you'll barf it back up. Get well soon. I had for 24 hours but not properly better for week or so ... hope you get some rest / recovery time.

16+1 with dc4. Dc3 is 3 at the end of November.

Still struggling with hyperemesis and working permanent nights Sad

Oh well, it can't possibly be as bad as it was a few weeks ago.

Oh it's good to read that I am not alone. 39ws with a 28 month old. Was up with her at 12, 4 and for good at5.45. Totally shattered. While my DH slept soundly (why do I convince myself that he needs his sleep and not me ????).

I am such a grumpy cow too, seriously I should have a mile exclusion line around me so that I don't cause any serious offence.

Come on baby!

19+3 with a 22 month DS. So nearly halfway but struggling already! DS being mummy's boy and also wants to be carried a lot - at 15kg it's not easy! I keep telling him this won't happen when mummy's tummy is bigger, he'll have to be a big boy! Also becoming a fussy eater and won't drink any milk and now refusing cheese. Still he's good at fetching me things like a pillow or the tv remote!!!

I'm 37 weeks with a 2.2 yr old. I also have extreme SPD and can barely move. I try to make it out every 2-3 days to take DD to activities as otherwise we drive each other nuts in the house. It means I have to drive or take the bus everywhere - I can't walk for more than 50 yrds...

Anyway, today after her dance class when we left, another little girl sneaked out the door. Her mum had a baby so I grabbed her hand and put her back inside...completely forgetting I had my own DD in a buggy on a slope without the brake on. By the time I realised, she was hurtling towards a busy road and I had to sprint to catch her. I was in the most horrendous pain. I literally can not walk and I had to sprint to stop her. Horrible experience.

I have since eaten a whole bag of Aero Mint bubbles too which will not be helping my enormous thighs. I have just googled 'fat or water retention' to try to get a definitive of what the hell is going on with my thighs for them to look so alien.

Definitely worse the 2nd time around, just hoping for a quickish delivery and a peaceful baby.

I am beginning to hate anyone with any form of childcare available to them!
