Morning all.

So we finally reach the last week.

I feel that this Bootcamp has been a pretty successful one overall, with lots of SVs and NSVs.

Next Monday will be our final weigh-in, so there's one more week to lose some of that pesky fat.

I hope it's a good week for you all

Thank you BIWI. I'm down 2lbs - hooray! - since I've been tracking calories for the past week. I was eating far too many before, I have realised and I'm pleased to have discovered this. I've learned such a lot on this BC, thanks to all of you.

Hi all.
Down to 64.3kg this morning which is 300g off.
I’m KOKO even after the end of boot camp though as I’m feeling great about myself and I want to continue.
I have been off alcohol but had a glass of prosecco yesterday which was nice. I know I’m having some minor carb creep though - few berries, yoghurt, dark chocolate as well as eating out so not able to be quite as strict. However I want to get down to 60kg so I do need to push on really

Right, head down for the last week for me. More veg, more water and 16:8 for the final push. Would like to shift 2lb. Think that's a tall order but we'll give it a go!

Thanks for the new thread Smile

Hi everyone,
I'm creeping in rather shamefacedly for the last week. I dropped off the thread and BC for the last 10 days. I know why and it's become very clear to me that I'm an abstained. My DH who also came off BC put on under a kg because he didn't fall face first into pasta and chocolate. I've put on over 3kg. I didn't weigh either and it's clear I need the daily weighing. Oh dear - still at least it wasn't a month of the fuckits clutching at straws. So 73.8kg for me today.

Thanks BIWI. Bad planning and social events have led to a 1lb increase this week, but have been shopping and will try hard for the final week (and beyond).

Stupid really as I’ve been feeling so much better and my stomach is now doing its balloon impression. Ah well...KOKO.

BIWI i think it was another cyclist, a woman, but I can't remember her name. But yes she was very athletic too so it's the same. I thought it was the fat and protein in the peanut butter that helped too. tbh when I was going to the gym before I always did it on an empty stomach, thinking that that meant I was burning my own fat for energy rather than what I had just eaten. Is that really a thing? anyway, like the new poster, I was a chubby unfit person still am trying to tone some muscle (with a little bit of cardio) and not training for competition psml at that idea .

all this exercise talk....I really must join a gym again! just waiting on finances permitting and I'm going to do it.

I’m at 188 so 2lbs down this week. Grin. I was on the 190s for so long and have this weird feeling I’m going to fly through the 180s.

Feeling really, really good in myself with only 28lbs to go for first goal weight. That’s from an all time high of 236 (or all time low, depending how you look at it Hmm).

Needing to lose two stone sounds like a lot, but it doesn’t feel like a lot.

KOKO everyone. Follow the WOE and enjoy your food. Let the rest take care of itself.

Thank you BIWI for the new thread. I think this will be my final weigh-in on this boot camp, as I'm off on my holiday on Thursday. BUT - 165 today...that's 3lb down on the week and 11st 11lbs. Woo hoo Grin That 12st barrier has taken a long time to crack, but I'm feeling pretty happy this morning.

Actually, I might just weigh again on Thursday before I go, as if - IF - I could do another pound, that'd be the same weight I was ten years ago, when I turned 50. That would be a sort of tidy rounding off, I think. Anyway, looking forward to the next Boot Camp...

Re the eating and exercise thing, I think it was on the recent BBC programme "How to Lose Weight" that they did a small experiment with one group exercising after food and the other exercising fasted - and the ones who exercised fasted lost more weight. Caveat is that it was a very small study.

Gah my resolve of last Monday wasn't strong enough to make it through mother's day treats.

I am 5.4lb down since 11st jan but that's not good enough. I will be super strict this week to try and deliver a last hurrah, but will definitely be continuing on bootcamp once this one officially ends..

Hi . Also creeping back after a couple of week's absence, with a slight loss. I had a blip, basically caused by having a friend to stay for a couple of weeks over a three week period. Food not too bad, but we did drink a lot. Since then I've been getting back on track. If bootcamp finished this week I'd be 5.8lb down, but hopefully I can improve on that over the final week. And, yes, will also be carrying on after bootcamp - I need to get below 12 1/2 stone to get my BMI out of the "obese" category and it's tantalisingly close now!!

ilovecherries · 12/03/2018 10:07

0.8 of a lb down. When I started I only counted complete lbs, but loss is slow now, so I need to count all these fractions! And according to the SoF all those itty bitty amounts have still added up to more than half a stone on this BC so far. So that's 65lb in total. ShockBlush I'm still finding the 'healthy' BMI range elusive, and I'd hoped to reach it by the end of this bootcamp but probably slightly over optimistic. No more than 2 lbs or 3 weeks away though, I hope.

Morning all - just tiptoeing back in very very sheepishly - I dropped off this thread several weeks ago and have been an utter carb twat.
We have had some stresses going on which I think must have triggered me going so wrong as it's really not like me as I normally choose LC even when I am not actually on BC .
Anyway thanks to all for the thread I am going to get back on it today .
I am determined to fit into all my lovely spring clothes this year !
Well done to everyone with losses.

Flowers for alma , sorry to hear your news.

Thanks BIWI for the new thread.

So pleased to hear all the losses and koko.

I'm half a pound down, so within a teeny half pound of 2 stone lost on this woe and 1.5 to being in the 9's. I'm going to koko like a mad woman this week to get there.

Last week of boot camp - well done to all those who are still here!

I've put on 1.1lb this week, but it is my own stupid fault by saying yes when I should have said no. Two birthdays at nursery last week meant two slices of cake (neither of them really that nice after the first mouthful) then, on Friday, despite managing to say no to both scone and tiffin (my absolute favourite thing as sold by the cafe downstairs) when I met a friend for coffee someone brought round leftover tiffin in the afternoon and shoved it in my face. My willpower went on holiday! Then, just to add to it all, I had my usual Sunday night treat yesterday. I know, as I said it was just my stupid fault.

However, this is another week and I hope to go out with a bang. Thanks to all the talk on electrolytes and treacle running on the last thread I put two and two together on the treadmill earlier so, when I came into my office, I confused the lass in the aforementioned cafe by asking for some bouillon powder to go. Am now drinking said stock which will hopefully put the world to rights!

Oh, and Stuntnun - thanks to you, and your DH, for answering my running questions. Meant to thank you on the last thread and kept forgetting. I'm glad to hear I'm not causing too much harm to my body.

Alma - so sorry to hear your news (((hugs)))

Alma Flowers

Well I'm scratching my head as I have put weight on every day since last Monday (daily weigher) Confused

I've been sticking to this WOE and am trying to figure out what the issue is. Potential culprits:

  • not enough water: have been more at the 2-2.5litre level rather than 3+

  • not enough to eat? Been at the 1200 ish calorie level most days (1500-1600 at the weekend) [*disclaimer: tracking calories not counting them]

  • possibly not sufficient FLGV

  • too much cream? I don't eat tonnes of cheese etc but I do have 1-2 creamy coffees and I am partial to a generous teaspoon of extra thick cream

On the NSV, someone told me on Sat night I was looking trim. I also spent a chunk of time trying on lots of my clothes that didn't fit very well last time I tried them and they look a whole lot better. So there is definitely shrinkage going on somewhere.

Even if I don't hit my BC target by next week, I will still be jolly close to it and in far better shape (figuratively and literally) than I was at the beginning of January. I am planning to carry on after this one ends in any event.
